Interesting image. The lighting is very nice. I agree with Joe about the top line. My first thought was to crop it but darkening it might work as well. Overall, great capture and processing. |

It is a pretty scene but I don't find a strong subject. To me, the most interesting part is the mowed crops and the lines they produce. Almost looks like lanes for speed skaters. :) |

I agree with Kaylyn about the cloning issue below the bridge. It's an interesting image with the train, the bridge and the ball. |

I like the effects on this one. I agree with Kaylyn that it might be good to try straightening the building. I'm not sure I agree with Joe on leaving the tree in the top corner but overall, nice job. |

I would agree with Al on cropping out the second fountain. To me, it seems like his face is a little too sharpened. Cute photo though. |

Cute image. Yes a keyboard would be nice. I rather like the cooler tone of the original though. I'd also like to see the background blurred out a little more. |

I like the soft look of this and the way Topaz treated it. I find the two purple spots on either side to be a bit distracting. Nice job overall. |

I like the way you've cropped the image and the flower stands out nicely. I think the red might be competing a little and perhaps could be burned in a touch. Also I would like to see a little more sharpness in the flower. |

I find myself trying to decide if I like the whites in the original or the more vivid white of the final. In some ways I'm seeming more blues in the background and at the bottom left of the flowers. The green seems to be a bit harsh to me. I like the background better though even with the coloring. There seems to be less distraction. Nice work. |

This shows that not everything has to be realistic. You have done a nice job with creating an artistic "Warhol" type graphic. Placing the blooms at different angles is good also. |

We can do this anytime. I feel it helps us pick out the strong parts of an image even if we don't think the image is worth much. It also makes us work a little on our PS and LR skills - perhaps learning something new?

I love the black background and the vibrancy of the colors. I agree with David that perhaps a little extra canvas on the left could give the flower a little more room. I also wonder if leaving the stem in would ground it a little? Very nice though. |

I confess - the original is mine. Randy wanted to stay with our group until this project was done but it was not intentional that he got this image. He's turned it into a rather nice abstract with the colored lights shooting out of it. I hope everyone enjoyed the project as it was designed to have you look at images that might not seem "worthy" but sometimes end up producing results. Also it helps use your PS and LR skills along with other programs you might use.
Nice job, Randy. We will miss you. |
