22 May 23 Comment I like this - the "painterly" effect works well here. I'm not sure but I think I see a little ghosting of the glass on the right side - and the flower stems. Overall though, great job. May 25th
22 May 23 Comment While it looks a little "static", you've done a nice job of bringing out the detail. Capturing one that moves so fast is difficult. Good job! May 25th
22 May 23 Comment Very interesting. The ceiling almost makes me think it's upside-down...maybe that's my dyslexic tendency. :)
I like the B/W rendition - it makes the ceiling really stand out. Great job!

22 May 23 Comment Guess I'm going to be the odd one here but to me she seems a little harsh. I agree with cropping out the tummy and I do like the background. May 9th
22 May 23 Comment Very interesting - kind of makes me think about a prison or something. Like the B/W rendition...very stark. Good job. May 9th
22 May 23 Reply Hi Lance - thanks for visiting. There is a small brown "border" around the image. A stroke (in the PS Edit menu) creates a frame around an image. May 7th
22 May 23 Comment OK, I did Jerry's idea in LR and used the masking to bring out the feathers in the Blackbird.
I did feel there wasn't enough detail in the bird and also a little too much background. Nice capture though. I wonder if he was singing - or squawking. He looks more like he's protecting his mate's nest.

22 May 23 Reply This is the RAW shot - nothing done to it. I might try seeing what Topaz would do with it - or On1. May 4th

48 May 23 Comment I like the rather soft appearance of these flowers. The unopened one breaks the duo very nicely for me. I might want to see a little brighter white on the flowers but it might be my monitor. Personally I would like to see a thin stroke to set it off from the background. Overall, very nice image. May 27th
48 May 23 Reply It seems to appear in your description - added a stain. I'm curious also as to what you meant there. May 27th
48 May 23 Comment Interesting image and should be good for documentary. Good luck with it. I like how you caught the smoke with the flame colors in it as well. Nice job. May 27th
48 May 23 Comment Stunning bird image. I sort of like the branches left in though I can see that they might be distracting. Seems to be a little more natural to me though. Great capture. May 27th
48 May 23 Comment Beautiful shot. I like your enhancement of the colors and the position of the crop. Nice job.
Does your group not publish originals? I see you added it in the remarks. If it was posted next to the final, it would be easy to see the remarkable difference.

48 May 23 Comment Very striking image! I would like to see a very thin stroke around it to set it off from the black background - maybe the darker pink? Great job though. Glad I stopped by this group. May 27th
48 May 23 Comment I kind of agree with Tom about the teeth. It was the first thing I noticed - however it is about who she is I guess. The catch lights were a little stark so taking them down makes it more appealing to me. Interesting subject though - nice job. May 27th

61 May 23 Comment I agree with Shirley regarding the out-of-focus issue. The concept is great with the water drops and the lighting. I like the colors as well. May 27th
61 May 23 Comment Love the green leaves and the patterns. I'm not sure about Shirley's comment about reading - normally the eye would read left to right and down. Would putting the brown leaves on the right lead the eye in by focusing on the green leaves first - or would you go right to the brown leaves and skip over the green? Not sure. May 14th
61 May 23 Comment Beautiful poppies! I rather agree with David about the "less than perfect" poppy in the front although I guess that's nature. Maybe a step to the right and capture that other pretty one in the front? May 14th
61 May 23 Comment I agree with Shirley regarding the frame. Adding even a faint stroke closes the image into a smaller space and concentrates the eye on the subject. I too like the backlighting. Good capture. May 14th
61 May 23 Comment Very pretty image! It's hard to get good shots when there are so many pads and leaves around. I agree with David and tried removing the bottom pad and accentuating the reflections. May 14th
61 May 23 Comment Very cool. The original is stunning as well but you've really made a showpiece out of it. Great work! May 8th
