I agree with Peggy - the back leg covered by the pattern would make it look like an out-of-border. The colors are great and so is the pattern. Nice job. |

I like what you've done with this. I will agree with Joe and Jerry regarding the horse and the rider. I would like to see less abstraction on the heads (faces) of both. Overall, very nice job. |

It sounds harder than it is. Try it sometime with 2 images and play with the modes. |

I like the bubbles and in the final it looks as though the iris is blowing bubbles. Jerry also has a good comment - I like it as an abstract though the flower doesn't show through. Overall I feel your final is best. |

Maybe I could try a tighter Whirl. I was in kind of a hurry to get something done. I had another image in mind but could figure out how I did it (it was one that was already finished) so this was a last minute effort. Just a reminder that if you do your images with layers, it pays to label the layers and save it before flattening and creating a JPG. |

Interesting how many things you can find to look at here. I like all the additions and changes you made to the original. Good job. |

Maybe it's just that I like "cool tones" but I prefer the coloring on the original. Love the concept though. I'll have to check and see if the 80D has that ICM feature. Nice capture! |

Or what about the family with dog just up from the heart? :) |

Could have given it a try - still 4 days left. :)
Might be worth the comments. We aren't here to be perfect - we are here to learn and help others. Give it a go! |

I agree - they should be brilliant but wasn't sure what to use for shoot through.

For me, I like Linda's rendition as it nicely shows the plant and removes the background. I guess the question is - do we care about the size of the plant for this image? It would depend on the viewer I think. Next month for the individual blossoms? :) |

I like this one - very nice. I agree with Linda that the background could be darker. I tried a vignette which gives a little of the table . Seems to show up darker here than I planned though. |

I agree - I should have put them on an angle. |

Yes - but the subject (the crane) is not behind the fog. (shoot through) Pretty picture though. |

I agree with Randall - very nicely done. The colors work together and the softness adds to the image. |

I love the colors and the composition. While not a "shoot-through" it's still a beautiful image. As David mentioned, it looks like a filter was added. I would like to see the original and also a description of how you got the effect. |

While I appreciate your comment, when was the last time you saw something in fog that was bright and sharp? :)
I kind of agree it is a little washed out - would have to see how I could change that since that's the way it was shot. Maybe a blend mode might work. |

I agree with David about the distracting flowers. I selected the subject which turned out pretty good. There were a few spots I had to add in or remove. After Inversing the selection, I used the brush to paint black over the image leaving the final. I would have liked to remove the top flower in the glass but didn't have the patience to try. Really nice "shoot-thru" image though. Good job. |
