22 Feb 23 Comment I decided not to brighten it so as to make it dark and moody as the day was. Feb 20th
22 Feb 23 Reply Nice re-work Jerry. Feb 18th
22 Feb 23 Comment The booties may be a little eye-catching but without them, or maybe toned down - who would know these dogs wear booties. Great capture of something I know I won't ever see in person though I would love to go back to Alaska. Feb 15th
22 Feb 23 Comment I'm guessing the cranes are not as close as they look given you used a 600 mm. The telephotos always bring the background up closer. I'm not sure where you would crop this and not cut off some of the cranes - in half. :) Interesting story though and nice capture of the coyote scratching. Feb 15th
22 Feb 23 Comment In addition to the blue, the rag on the right doesn't seem to be in focus and draws my attention away from the artist. Otherwise it's a very good capture. Feb 15th
22 Feb 23 Comment Very nice. I think Joe is right about that stem at the top. I would also like to see some burning of the two leaves at the top as well. I don't know that I would have added the canvas if that is the stem. It sort of looks like a petal but then too flat at the bottom. If course if it wasn't mentioned, I probably wouldn't have noticed. :) Feb 15th
22 Feb 23 Comment I'm going to agree with Peggy. The darker version seems to have sharper edges on the giraffes especially on the lower neck and between the legs of the one on the left. I like the way you brought out their eyes. Nice work.

61 Feb 23 Comment Very nice. I agree on the coloring and the desaturation. Looks good. The BW conversion is good as well. Feb 18th
61 Feb 23 Comment Here is the middle flower colored. I still like the lower one. :) Feb 18th
61 Feb 23 Comment I'm not sure where David wants to crop. The fact that the bud is colored brings attention to it and I like the way the full flower is in the rear. To me, if you crop anything off, it would take away from the nicely positioned flower and bud. Nice work Shirley. Feb 18th
61 Feb 23 Comment I like the removal of the dark tip in the remake, David. I'm going to agree with Ingrid about the buds on each side. It leaves me wondering what the rest of those two look like since they are cut in half.
I like the composition in the original even though the main bud is centered. In this case I feel it works well.

61 Feb 23 Comment I like this one. Maybe it's my monitor but I don't find the flowers too bright. What diverts my attention are the circles behind the flowers. I tried burning them out. Feb 18th
61 Feb 23 Reply Hope you heal up soon! Feb 5th
61 Feb 23 Reply I picked that one to keep it off center. :) Feb 5th
61 Feb 23 Comment I'm going to disagree with the crop idea for 2 reasons...1) this is a flower/plant group so highlighting the butterfly kind of defeats the subject. 2) cropping the top, in my opinion, would leave the flower almost unrecognizable.
I feel the BW conversion is good but perhaps could use a little more contrast. Nice job though.
