Looking on Ebay, I see one that looks like it for $230 and the data plate says it was 1927. |

Thanks Bruce. I wish the day had been better for our trip or that I could get back out there...maybe someday. |

I agree, Mike. The rule-of-thirds doesn't always apply and I like the image as it is as well. |

This didn't have the purple-ish cast in Photoshop but seems to have it here. Not sure why. |

There was a little white portion of the holder from the phone wires on the roof. I do see the halo though...thanks, I hadn't noticed that. |

Good catch! I thought something seemed different. :) |

My first thought is that the sewing machine was a little overdone with the gritty aspect - but then I'm thinking that is the actual texture of the machine. Good capture and nice work on the lighting. This one tells a story. |

I like the treatment of the wood though perhaps the upper left where the chain is could be a little lighter. You did a great job in putting this together. The only thing that bothers me is the upper left side where the blue pipe or something is. Good work though. |

I'm torn between liking the centering of the wheel and the composition of the original where it is off-center and shows more of the dashboard. It's nice and sharp on the wheel and the dashboard just blurred enough to make the wheel stand out. |

I was debating on whether the water could be cropped down - which would bring it a little more off-center. I think I like the amount of water though. You've brought out the texture in the wood and the colors in the trees very well. Nice work. |

Rework with the suggested corrections. Did I get them all? |

I agree - I would crop or remove the one on the left but leave the fence posts on the right. |

Thanks. If you are speaking of the white off the roof, I've tried to get rid of it and nothing seemed to work. I'll see if there is something else I can do. |

I agree with Jerry especially about the drift. To me, leaving the fence line in the image makes me look there instead of the drift. I would like to see it left there. Good job. |

I'm in agreement with Hans-Werner on this one. While a nice action shot, it doesn't strike me as a strong competition image. Good luck with the competition! |

I agree - good action and nice background. To be very picky, I find the text to be a little close to the subject - especially the left foot. Perhaps a little more canvas move the text away from the boy? Good work though. |

I like the action shown in this image. Very nice capture. I find the other vaulter distracts me as I tend to look back and forth between the two. I'd also like to see a stroke around the image as the black background merges with the black of the page. |
