22 Feb 21 Reply Nice Stuart. I left it as is for the reflection. I do like the crop as well though. Thanks. Feb 14th
22 Feb 21 Comment I like both versions. The original has a sort of moodiness for me while the final has the details in the trunks and water which shows off the reflection well. Perhaps a little darker on the tree branches? Nice image - especially from a boat. Feb 11th
22 Feb 21 Comment Nice catch! I see it. Also - maybe the sail of a sailboat on the right? Feb 10th
22 Feb 21 Comment Interesting. How come he's frowning? :) It appears to me that it might be a little oversharpened but otherwise a good capture. Feb 6th
22 Feb 21 Reply I kind of didn't like the branches at either end which is why I cropped tighter. Feb 6th
22 Feb 21 Comment Love the orchids. I'm going to disagree with Joe on the crop. For me, the flowers have no room to breathe and the left side is cut off. At first glance it's a very nice image. When I look closer, I see some graininess on the stem and around the stem it looks like the background isn't quite clean. Feb 6th
22 Feb 21 Comment Love Sky Replacement! I sort of feel the lighting isn't quite right for the sky and the image appears too light for the time of day. I gave it a try with the same sky and did some cropping to move the silo off center and also removed some of the grass. It is a nice image though. Love barns. Feb 6th
22 Feb 21 Reply They were arrested after I took this picture...LOL Feb 5th
22 Feb 21 Comment Nice job of opening up the shadows. I too like the colors, very pleasing. I will take the opposite view of Jerry and think the centering works here. For me, the two sides seem to bring my eye right to the door. Good work! Feb 3rd
22 Feb 21 Reply And in the left. :) Feb 3rd

28 Feb 21 Reply Interesting. I like it. It's almost like an x-ray of the flower. Works both ways.
It is those little details that will knock points off in competition. I often have problems with extractions where I don't see those small details. :)

28 Feb 21 Reply Interesting. Feb 15th
28 Feb 21 Reply You can attach them to your reply. Where it says Image: Choose File. You can edit your reply here or start a new one. I think you can only do one at a time. Feb 15th
28 Feb 21 Comment Nice work. I like the angle of the piers heading to the horizon. I agree with Wanda about the colors in the original. To me, that matches the title better. The blue is soooo cold looking. The black and white is good as well but somehow I felt warmer than the title led me to believe. :) I wished I lived in a place where we could see the stars. Guess I need to drive out farther. Feb 15th
28 Feb 21 Comment I agree with Wanda about the crop. I was looking at the car in the background and thinking a crop of the canoe and the reflection might be interesting. Perhaps like this?

28 Feb 21 Comment Beautiful image. Reminds me I have some amaryllis shots to work on. To be really picky, I think there may be some cleanup right at the tip of the petal to the right of the stem and also very slightly in the center above the flower - sort of between the center and the large petal on the left. Hard to notice really but might show up if shown on a large screen. Very nice work though on the extraction in general. Feb 15th
28 Feb 21 Comment I also like photographing trees, bark and oddities about them. On my monitor, the image seems a little washed out. I didn't really see any difference between the final and the original. While the subject is really the holes, I guess, I'd kind of like to see a little more saturation in the moss and some of the little leaves around it. Hope it's okay to post my version. It's just a quick attempt. I dropped the exposure some and burned the background. Opened up the shadows to show the inside of the bottom hole. Feb 15th
28 Feb 21 Comment Very nice. I like the foreground as well. The lighting is well done. Like Wanda, I think the light as the base of the tower could be toned down or closed out. I'm not so sure about the angle upward of the tower. It seems to be leaning which is most likely from the wide angle of the lens. Overall I like this image. Feb 15th
28 Feb 21 Comment I agree with Wanda - an elk or something hidden in the woods. I like the coloring with the browns breaking up the white. I think I see a man squatting by the tree in the lower center with a banjo or some type of instrument. :) Nice job. Feb 15th
