22 Jul 20 Reply Thanks Larry - I don't know if I had a mentor, Jon Fishback was the course leader.
I'm planning to work on the improvements everyone is suggesting. I have the same vision but am still working on how to achieve it.

22 Jul 20 Comment I agree with the labels but it does make it "genuine". I sort of wish there was another element as I tend to go back and forth between the two. It is an interesting image with good coloring. Nice job. Jul 26th
22 Jul 20 Comment "Deborah Ann Harry is an American singer, songwriter, model and actress, known as the lead singer of the new wave band Blondie." She is also from Florida.
I wonder about burning in the cement some to bring even more attention to the house? Definitely an eye catcher with all the colors.

22 Jul 20 Reply I like the mountains too! Jul 13th
22 Jul 20 Reply Sorry if you all received multiple emails - I had trouble posting the updated image. Jul 13th
22 Jul 20 Comment I like the story telling of this image as well. The composition is nice with the artist positioned in the lower right. I think the backpack with the equipment in it (looks like rags hanging out to me) is part of the story. Backpacking into a solitary point to paint the scene.
I tried adding some to the bottom and burning in the red some but I do like having the red in the image.

22 Jul 20 Reply Thanks Al. It did take some time but I think it was worth it. Sometimes I get an idea and just have to keep working on it. I had a harder time figuring out how to blend the staircase into the clouds - couldn't remember how I did one of my fireworks shots. Jul 9th
22 Jul 20 Reply I agree. I might try and make some changes if I can. Jul 6th
22 Jul 20 Comment Cute! Nice composition with the three horses and lots of color. We have a state-wide mandate for masks here in IL.
Prayers for you with the knee surgery and may you have a quick recovery.

22 Jul 20 Comment It's an interesting technique. I feel the texture detracts from the caterpillar though it does create a kind of surreal mood. I'd like the caterpillar to be the subject so I cropped to him and then reversed it. You did great getting him so sharp. Nice job. Jul 2nd
22 Jul 20 Comment Quite nice! I like that you kept three buildings as it makes for nice composition. I think I'd like to see a little more contrast especially in the slats of the barns - maybe more details? Overall you've taken a "record shot" and turned it into something competition worthy in my opinion. Jul 1st

36 Jul 20 Comment Beautiful moody image. I love the lighting and the sort of desolate feel. Reminds me of our summer home on Lake Michigan that ended up partially in the lake. The empty pilings are a reminder of what once was. Jul 26th
