22 Mar 20 Reply You're right - it was a quick fix. Eagle-eye as usual. LOL Mar 24th
22 Mar 20 Reply Thanks Al. It was a miserable day. So windy you had to hold your tripod while shooting. As you can probably see from the original, the out-of-camera coloring wasn't the best. Lots you can do with PS and Topaz. :) Mar 13th
22 Mar 20 Comment I agree with the crop. Hard to ask an alligator to open his mouth when he's busy sunning. LOL
I'm curious about the reflection. That's the first thing I was drawn to in the image. Looking back at the original, it seems the reflection had small ripples in the water. Hardly noticeable but I was wondering if something in the NIK had smoothed it out? Whatever, it looks great. Nice job.

22 Mar 20 Comment Perhaps I should have put a ? at the end of the title?
I think it would be much better in color. The lines in the creases seem too sharp. If you hadn't mentioned a beach, I would not have guessed this was sand ripples. I'm sorry but I'm not impressed with this image. :(

22 Mar 20 Reply Thanks for the comments. Here is my redo with adding some canvas and cropping a bit of the sky. Mar 12th
22 Mar 20 Comment Here is my version of Peggy's crop idea. I burned in the corners a little to try and emphasize the girl. Mar 12th
22 Mar 20 Comment Interesting image. I think I agree with the square format idea. Here is my take. I also removed some of the brown spots that were distracting me from the track print and burned in the corners some. Mar 12th
22 Mar 20 Reply Agreed about the spot. Mar 12th
22 Mar 20 Comment I'm going to agree with Joe about the empty space. The bird does need some space to fly into and the composition using the Rule of Thirds is done well here.
In addition to the talons, I'm also seeing some halo effects around the head and neck. The capture is really nice. It's hard to get a nice flying shot and you have done well here.

22 Mar 20 Comment I'm going to disagree with Peggy about the foreground as I feel it gives it more depth. I will agree about the sky for the same reason. If the point was to show the ridges, then I think I'd like to see them isolated. I like the way you've brought out the definition in the ridges. I would prefer the coloring of the original though as the final seems a bit oversaturated.

22 Mar 20 Reply Somehow I got it entered in March instead of Feb. I can't delete it so when Al sends his March image, I'll get it fixed up and delete these comments. Sorry about that. Mar 4th

46 Mar 20 Comment Very nice. I like the way the background out the windows is sharp as is the interior. Nice details in the machinery. Good job. Mar 13th
46 Mar 20 Comment Interesting arch and I like the colors. I think I'm seeing a slight bit of ghosting especially in the foliage. Also there appears to be a bit of a halo around the arch and tree at the top right. Mar 13th
46 Mar 20 Comment I like this image with the details and coloring you've captured. To by picky, I'd like to see the background hills darkened or enhanced somewhat. My eye is drawn to that area as it is the lightest part of the image but there doesn't seem to be much there. Mar 13th
46 Mar 20 Comment Very nice rendition of the building. I like the way you've brought out the textures in the bricks and the details. Mar 13th

95 Mar 20 Comment Very nice. I need to learn focus-stacking. Maybe it's just me but I feel the stamen seem a little soft. Just being my usual picky self. :) Here is my version using Topaz Clean. Mar 13th
95 Mar 20 Comment Interesting composition with the two subjects. I like Stuart's redo as it appears to have a little sunlight effect - as though it was "in the shade". I sort of feel the original final image was a little "soft" and could use more detail. Nice job though. Mar 13th
95 Mar 20 Comment Nice macro. I love shooting bark but somehow it doesn't usually turn out as nice as this one. I'm going to take the opposite approach and say that the brightness of the snow takes my eye away from the bark. Here is my rendition done with burning in some of the snow. Mar 13th
