22 Feb 20 Comment Nice still life. I'm seeing a "halo" around the flower which probably comes from over-sharpening. There is also a green line at the base of the pot that isn't in the original.
I agree with Joe about the crop. There isn't much on the left that's interesting although it puts the position of the vase into a good composition point.

22 Feb 20 Reply Maybe softening the edges of the petals? Or reducing the opacity so some of the details in the original petals show through? Feb 14th
22 Feb 20 Reply Trust Joe to find something creative to do. :) Feb 14th
22 Feb 20 Comment I like the vertical you've created. Feb 14th
22 Feb 20 Comment I'm going to agree with Jerry about the crop. I tried a quick rework using healing brush on the background and warming up the image with Topaz Adjust. Not the best but hopefully it shows my thoughts. :) Feb 11th
22 Feb 20 Comment It's definitely texture! I actually like both images. The softness of the original makes it seem antique yet the harshness brought out in the final really brings out the texture. Nice job. Feb 11th
22 Feb 20 Comment I was thinking the same as Jerry about the flower - that the shape of the petals would look more natural. I'm a little put off by the lack of sharpness in the marble and the edges of the petals. However it is an interesting image. Feb 11th
22 Feb 20 Comment I'm not sure I really see texture here - just a pretty background. I guess I did say anything goes. :)
However, you did a great job on the masking of the glass and water drops. It's a very interesting image. Nice work!

22 Feb 20 Comment I like the way you've taken the over-exposed image and made it appealing. You did some extensive work with the layers that turned out very nice. I do wish you had gone with a vertical format and had the entire sail showing. The image appears pretty large so I'm guessing you would be able to do the vertical and size it down to 768 on the vertical side and it would still show the boat fairly close up. I did like the way you left room for the boat to sail in to. Good job! Feb 5th
