The jeans are the subject - not often you see jeans used as a flowerpot. :) |

One of the benefits of shooting RAW. You get all the pixels to work with and no compression. It sometimes takes a little more work but it's worth it. |

Very artistic looking. I agree with Joe on the cropping - not needed in my opinion. I believe it might upset the balance of the image along with spoiling those green tones. Good job! |

I think I'd like to see a stroke on your final. My eye goes out the left side where the fork blends into the background. Interesting positioning of the forks and the lighting. Well done. |

This is an interesting view. I'm going to agree with Joe about the brighter areas. I like the use of the gradient though. Wonder what it would look like with a center group of four bright and gradually working the darkness outward to the edges. |

Beautiful colors. I like the blur look of this. I take it that you photographed the flowers like Mike said since the original looks much like the final. |

It's actually a real pair of jeans and shoes now being used as a flower pot. :)
Yes, with today's programs you can salvage almost anything. |

Personally, I think having the small goat looking up tells a story and also gives some depth to the image. I feel to crop more into the goat on the branch would take away from the height he is at. Perhaps use Jerry's idea for a future month? |

I'm going to agree with Mike. The elements here are rather static and don't blend together. Maybe some softer edges between the elements? |

Sorry if I screwed up the descriptions. Should be correct now. :) |

Just a note on Mike's "About" - the assignment wasn't necessarily to use Photoshop to change an image. I think his goat being on top of the branch qualifies as an "unusual" position for an object. This assignment was more for looking for unusual shots (like this), using macro, or making changes to the image. It was designed to make us think, see things differently or use our creative instincts. |
