Since the smoke was cut off, I had to add some. Just gave it too much. |

Yes, it's a challenge. You can rest the balance of the year. 😊 |

I wonder about moving the T and N down on the same line and having "train" go across the whole bottom? |

Very nice Vicki - as usual. :) I tend to agree with Joe on darkening the train. John brings up an interesting point about the lighting. It's something I tend to forget when dealing with a composite. |

The train looks quite good to me - you cut out two of the major distractions. However, there is no room for the train to move into. Perhaps this might be a candidate for the Out of Border month? |

This is a nice combination of being cartoony and realistic. Using the Simplify and making it look like an oil painting works for me. Good job. |

Very interesting. While I appreciate the technique, I find the number of small images kind of makes my eyes hurt and detracts from the middle image. I like what you've done though in creating the text and combining the colors with the black and white center. Really creative! |

I like this rendition. The background is nicely muted out and the style fits the old locomotive. Wondered if darkening the locomotive might make it stand out a little more - I may have overdone it a little. |

That's okay, sorry if I wasn't clear on the assignment. If you want to revise the How section, just send me a new copy. |

I wasn't happy with the smoke either. I'm going to see what I can do with that when I get the time. :) |

If these are on different layers, perhaps painting in the train as realistic would be different? Or maybe making a duplicate layer in PS and going back to On1 and making the train with smaller strokes? |

I wondered as well when I posted this "How I Did It". Mike - please make sure I have the items correct as you intended. Thanks. |

My apologies - I thought his "How I Did It" was okay but apparently not. I've uploaded it again so you have full information. |

I agree about the crossing. I tried to remove some of it. I'll see what I can do. |

My great group helps me out. Their suggestions pick out the themes. I do need to put together another newsletter though. It's been a while |
