Nicely captured image Ginny, but for me it is too complex. I just need a focal point to rest my eyes, preferably on the thirds. |

Enjoy the image! Such a great composition reinforced by the good eye contact. Cropping some of the top as suggested by Stuart makes sense. |

Thanks for trying to remove the offending branch, Stuart. I guess with nature images we just have to accept that sometimes they do not work out! The cuckoo was then mobbed by a pipit and those images are also unusable because of the branch, but great to witness!

Thanks Ginny. A real confidence booster! I guess the immediate question to ask is why I did not move to a better position. The simple answer is that I was 15 feet up in a small hide trying not to disturb the birds that visited! |
