Hi Barbara,
The fall leaves are always is such a beautiful transition of fall. There are a lot of interesting colors in this image with the changing leaves and the the golden addition of the grasses around the lake. You might want to try opening the shadows a little as well as increasing the structure. |

Hi Norm,
This image has nice depth of field and leads the eye into the image. There is a lot of interesting lines and textures as your eye moves through the boulders to the colors of the sunrise reflecting in the water and the interesting clouds and colors in the sky. Nice image. |

Hi Harriet,
I like the mane blowing in the wind, adding additional interest. You captured a nice expression with his ears up and alert. I would suggest a little tighter crop to come up to the bottom of the fence board so there isn't a smidge of green showing through and on the left crop to the very first fence post to get rid of the edge of the short shorter board on the top rail |

Hi John,
Great capture on the Jackdaw. I agree with the above comments on straightening the image and I would do a slight crop to take out the small section of fence rail. Although most of the bird in in sharp focus I would suggest you make sure the eye is tack sharp. |

Hi Bud,
Thank you for your comments. I hope to get back to Bushkill Falls soon. Some of the waterfalls slow down to a trickle during the summer months which means spring is the best time to visit. It will likely be 2023 as my spring for next year is jam packed already. |

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your comments. I did crop it I. Tighter at the bottom to get rid of the uninteresting foreground; however, I agree with you I can see where the pool at the bottom would be more pleasing. My original did not include all of the pool either. Good suggestions. |

Hi Larry,
Thank you for your comments. I like the idea of doing a blended image for something like this. When I took this shot several years ago I would not have had the knowledge to do that. Now I would be able to complete an image that way and I agree that process would result in a nicely finished photograph.

Larry,
Wow. Thank you for this link. My take away on what David Yarrow was two-fold 1) We live in a world full of content rich information and I believe we are driven by that content to define who we are. We want to be entertained and we measure our lives based on what is put out there in the media. 2) As photographers/artists we have the ability and perhaps for some the responsibility to immerse ourselves into our subject's environment and tell a meaningful story. This was very inspiring for me.
I hope I have not bored anyone with my thoughts. |

Bud,
You nicely captured the intense stare of this hawk. There is nice detail on the feathers, sharpness in the eye and it stands out from the background. It would have been amazing if you could have captured him swooping at the squirrel. |

I am not seeing a link to the video. I love watching and hearing how other photographers capture their images. |

David,
The fall colors taking up the entire image is beautiful. The greens of the evergreens help to bring depth to the image. The color adjustment helped to bring all the fall colors of the leaves out. A slight crop of the foreground to take out the dead evergreen trees with no needles might tighten this image a little. |

Larry,
This is an incredible shot. The lighting really highlights your subject as she attempts to take flight through the tangled Spanish Moss. You nicely captured your subject in sharp focus. I like the space to the right allowing for ones imagination to visualize her forward movement. |

This is a very nice waterfall and the hit of fall colors is a nice addition. Did you bracket your 3 shots to get more dynamic range? The water on the left side looks blown out and you might be able to get more detail if you have a bracket series of shots. Nice image. |

This is a great grouping of mushrooms. The overhead lighting helps to bring out the mushroom caps and highlight them as the focal point. Since mushrooms do not move much I might consider focus stacking with this image to get more depth of field out of this image. The out of focus green vegetation in the front is a little distracting. You could also play around with cropping a little of the foreground out. |

You did a nice job of getting the fly in crisp focus. That can sometimes be a challenge with creatures that move. There are nice lines leading the bier through the image with the flower stem taking you to the flower head and petals pointing outward. When I look at the image I think about doing a little tighter crop; however, the negative space around the flower is pleasing as well. Nice image. |
