Thanks Frans. I shoot Nikon. Canon and Sony may be as good or better, but I have Nikon lenses, too expensive to change. But, this image is more a result of persistence. Many many shots, going back to the computer several times to see what I did right and wrong and finally got one I liked. |

Great image. Excellent detail. Questions: What time of day was this captured? Were you using a tripod? If handheld, did you consider increasing shutter speed since you had plenty of ISO to work with? |

Thanks. These guys were not still long enough for focus stacking. Hope to find subjects that allow stacking. |

Really like that shot. Nice processing work. Impressed that you could run it through gigapixel and not have it look plasticky like mine do sometimes. How far off the ground was the falcon perched? |

Wonderful shot. Were you shooting before the tongue came out? Was this handheld? |

Nice image. Like that the eye catch is sharp. Might want to crop so that it is off center a little more. |

Like image and background color. Simple and serene. Might try a little more sharpening. |

Thanks Ginny. It took a couple hundred shots trying to get the composition and background I wanted, and lots of experimenting with different settings. Thank goodness for digital. |
