1 Dec 25 Comment Dear Than, this is a very nice land/sea scape. Really like the dock as a lead in to the rough mountainous shoreline and colorful boats. The only thing that bothered me is the green boat on the left side touching the side of the frame. Hope you don't mind but I added a little space. What do you think? Dec 11th
1 Dec 25 Comment Sharon, your image certainly gives the viewer an emotional reaction that it is cold, cold, cold! The lighting accentuates the story. This is an excellent composition and well framed. I would like to see that cut off ice flow in the lower right gone but it does help with the story. Very interesting. Dec 6th

2 Dec 25 Comment Martin, this is an outstanding iconic image. My wife and I have had the pleasure of spending several weeks in Havana and surrounding areas. The Cuban people are amazing and the photography was astounding!!! You captured the essence of Cuba. Dec 11th
2 Dec 25 Comment Shirley, Very interesting crop and view point. Great eye. As Jim said, I also like th coloration done by the Topaz filter. Great job freezing the action and having very good sharpness. Well done. Dec 9th

14 Dec 25 Comment Tom, I think this is an outstanding seascape. You really get the feeling of a rough sea with the waves sweeping in and breaking on the rocks. The spray and light mist makes it. The crop is perfect and It has great visual impact and interest. Dec 10th

16 Dec 25 Comment Terry, I think your composition is super. Background couldn't be any better. I think if you shot faster it would have helped your slightly soft problem of the fish and head. This cormorant is in the process of tossing the fish to swallow. Hope you don't mind, I took the liberty of sharpening the head and fish slightly an I think it made a big difference. What do you think? Dec 5th

17 Dec 25 Comment Suzanne, gorgeous image of a Motmot. This bird is a motmot, a member of a colorful Neotropical family known for their distinctive racket-tipped tails. Your background is non distracting and is perfect for this colorful bird. It has great color, definition and sharpness. I did feel that there was a little too much room on the left so I cropped a little. What do you think? Dec 11th

21 Dec 25 Reply Thanks Leslie, this bird had about a six foot wingspan and was very fast. They are also spooked very easily. She came right at the boat and immediately veered away. Definitely a grab shot. Dec 10th
21 Dec 25 Reply Thanks Marilyn, I will get right on it... Dec 5th
21 Dec 25 Reply Thank you for your comments Veysi. I was taught the you should alway have a bird or animal lookin slightly or directly at you and never directly right or left 90 degrees. But I guess rules can be broken. Welcome to our Bird group Veysi. Dec 5th
21 Dec 25 Comment Marilyn, amazing head shot. Great color, sharpness and definition. Please email me when in February this event is and my wife and I will drive up from Key West. Outstanding image. Dec 5th
21 Dec 25 Comment Michael, this is is an award winning image. Wouldn't change a thing. Dec 4th
21 Dec 25 Comment Leslie, these chicks are just adorable and their coloring is beautiful. Great non distracting background and the reflection makes the image extremely interesting. This is one you should put on your wall. Very striking! Dec 4th
21 Dec 25 Comment Great Mute Swans Mike. Great job stoping action with the wings in all different positions. All the swans are sharp and with no hot spots which is not easy. I took the liberty to tone down the background and I think it made the swans pop. What do you think Mike. Excellent composition. Dec 4th
21 Dec 25 Comment Ted, excellent image of a Warbler and I especially like the branch leading in. You did a great job freezing the action and having sharpness where needed. I might tone down the bright yellow below the branch. Other than that a strong composition. Dec 4th
21 Dec 25 Comment Veysi, first and foremost welcome to our group. Really like this image. Normally I don't care for an even numbers of anything but sometimes the rules have to be broken. The Pied Kingfisher is a striking bird and beautifully caught. I love the background and and it is certainly non distracting. Very well done. Dec 4th
21 Dec 25 Comment Jim, a striking bird beautifully caught. He has great color, sharpness and definition and all technical aspects are outstanding. Let me also tell you why I hate cowbirds. We have five feeders in our backyard close and within 300 feet of our sunroom window I have built 11 bluebird houses. There is one cowbird that thinks he owns all the property in my eyesight and when any bird comes close to our feeders this cowbird attacks. Dec 4th
21 Dec 25 Reply Thanks for your comments Ted. I did little or no editing on this image but I was torn whether or not to change the sky. Dec 1st

27 Dec 25 Comment Great image Lauren. Image has excellent visual impact and interest. It also has super color, sharpness and definition. The round mushroom and white object bothered me so I hope you don't mind that I took the liberty and removed them. I think the image now has no distractions, an odd number of mushrooms and is much stronger. What do you think? Dec 13th

48 Dec 25 Reply Hi Richard, no flash, no magic, just a grab shot looking into a pop-up tent at a craft show. A little PS. Here is the original and thank you for trying to figure it out. Here is one of the originals. Dec 10th
48 Dec 25 Comment Hi Donald, this is an image that has strength through simplicity and excellent detail. I agree with Richard that it needs an odd number of focal points. I took the liberty to add a stone. What do you think? Dec 9th
48 Dec 25 Reply Butch, thank you for your comments. Wish more people would jump out of their groups and comment. I like your crop 100% better. Far better! Dec 7th
48 Dec 25 Comment Bridget, to me this is an abstract image. Like the way the bee's head is coming in from the lower left. The surrounding areas compliment the subject. Dec 4th
48 Dec 25 Comment Stewart, really like this image. Like the Buddha being offset to the right and the cut of a tree to the left making it a very balanced composition. B&W is a good option and the lighting accentuates mood. Well done. Dec 4th
48 Dec 25 Comment Richard, I wouldn't change anything in your image. The colors and exposure are perfect. Your image has great visual impact and interest and tells a good story. Dec 4th
48 Dec 25 Comment Bev, you could get rid of the background but to me it is a documentary image and the background fits. Many golf courses are built around condos, buildings, etc. Your tight crop is good and I'm glad you got the ball in the picture. I think the trash containers and dumpster bother me more than the building and car. I too, live in a golfing community and have been trying to get a shot of golfers hitting the ball with it in the air. Not so easy to do! Dec 4th

63 Dec 25 Comment Pierre, great image of a White-throated Sparrow. Like the slight turn of the head and great color, sharpness and definition. Agree with Charles that the bird disappears into the background some what, so I darkened the background a small amount and it does seem to help the Sparrow to pop. Dec 12th

67 Dec 25 Comment Jenny, this is a gorgeous image that really tells a story. It has great visual impact and interest. Your narrative was very good also. It has sharpness in critical areas and a non distracting background. The only thing I might change is the space to the right and left of the tree stump. Well done. Dec 12th
67 Dec 25 Comment Butch, this is an AMAZING shot. You can almost feel the energy, noise, chaos, heat, dust and ground rumbling. Excellent composition and all technical aspects to me are outstanding. Dec 5th

71 Dec 25 Reply Butch, thank you for your comments. I tried opening the shadows and like it much better. Had to laugh butch. The Daydreaming is more my wife and I yearning to go back. Life is just so hectic! Dec 7th
71 Dec 25 Reply Dennis, you definitely nailed it! Outstanding! Dec 5th
71 Dec 25 Reply Thank you for your comments Mike. I didn't include people because it was a hot day and anyone that wondered by looked very casual and I figured it would ruin the old look of the building and phone booth. Dec 5th
71 Dec 25 Comment Mike, if this image doesn't tell a story nothing does! Really like your catch or placement of the Shepard, his dogs and the sheep in this mountainous terrane. Perfect crop and angle for this image. Do the sheep stop at night? Excellent composition. Dec 4th
71 Dec 25 Comment Spring, I love this image. Should definitely be hung in your home in a prominent place. I don't agree with Mike. I like the lighter area coming in from the left that leads your eyes to the cypress trees offset to the right. The lighting accentuates the mood and it has great color, sharpness and definition. Dec 4th
71 Dec 25 Comment Outstanding image Michele. Made a huge difference lightening what looks to be terraced foreground farm land. Hope you have a future image of the Great Buddha Dordenma statue. All technical aspects to me are outstanding! Dec 4th
71 Dec 25 Comment Dennis this image is the essence of tranquility. Like Mike said, the water in the falls seems to be slightly blue or off color. Love the water, stone, japanese stone lantern and plant life. Reflections are an added plus.Strong composition. Dec 4th
