Jim, gorgeous HDR image. Have walked those docks many times. Your image is tack sharp and has great color, definition, visual impact and interest. The sun is also a plus. Well done. |

Doug, this is one of those images that I wouldn't change a thing. Breath-taking! There are no distracting elements in the frame and the sharpness and detail of the eagles is outstanding. Eagles are magnificent! |

Thank you for your comments Jim. I wish I could tell you this image has done well in competition but it hasn't. Judges seem to want a fish in his mouth. |

Jim, this is another one of yours that looks like a piece of art or an oil painting. The background really makes them pop. Excellent composition, and all technical aspects are outstanding. |

Leslie, Black-Crowned Night Herons are one of my favorite birds. They don't seem to have a fear of man and around here and you can normally get quite close. The lighting accentuates the story and I like him somewhat camouflaged. The eye and head is super! Nice catch! |

Mike, super image of an inflight cormorant. You had to be shooting fast because he is stoped cold. Great job in freezing the action and having the sharpness right on the bird. The surrounding water also compliments the bird. |

Ted, this is a magnificent image of a Hornbill. There are no distracting elements in the frame and it has great color, sharpness and definition. Hope you don't mind but I did think there was too much space on the right side so I cropped it. |

Thank you Ted for your comments. I had never seen a cormorant with such a reddish orange face. The natives of the area said it was because of the fish they eat. |

Bridget, I am thrilled with your imagination in this image and hope you don't mind I am still playing with it. I moved the statue so your eye and tree elements are prominent. Emphasizing the eye and tree elements by shifting the statue could create a stronger visual focal point and a more intentional flow through the scene. What do you think?

Richard, not sure you achieved what you were trying to but it certainly is fun trying. I had a panning category in a club competition last year and it was very tough to get the moving subject stoped and everything else a blue. Still an interesting shot. Do they actually pedal all the way with their arms? |

Donald this is a great image can that go two ways. First of all, a human interest story and secondly if cropped tighter a documentary as to how a steam engine used to get turned around. Your image is very sharp and has very good visual interest and impact. |

Bridget, love this image. I think you put a lot of thought into this image. Very creative. Hope you don't mind but I changed it around a little for impact. Really like both your way and my way. What do you think? |

Jamie, outstanding image of a sleeping lion. The lighting accentuates the story and it is sharp as a tack. The only thing that bothered me was the cut off tail so I removed it. Will act like he was sleeping on his tail. Nice catch. |

Bev, great image of a Gold Fish. I have taken many images of his in tanks and if the glass is clean they have come out very well. I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty to play with your image. I removed the pipe and several blurry fish in the background and now I think the main subject fish really pops. Let me know what you think? |

Mike, this is an excellent documentary shot and really communicates a story. I don't think I would want to be that close to the big ram, he certainly looks like he has a mind of his own. Has great color, sharpness and definition. Wish the one dog wasn't cut off but I sure there was a lot of action going on. |

Michele, this is an image where I like both the color version and monochrome. In the mono I think the Wall is sharper and yet in the color version I feel there is more detail as far as the Wall and ancillary structures. Michele, you really get around. Either you have the best job in the world or just like to travel. Super image. |

Dennis, this is a picture perfect image of the falls and bridge. At first I didn't like the small dot of sky in the top center but after further study I think it is needed for prospective. Excellent composition and all technical aspect to me are outstanding. |
