Mary Ann, amazing Grizzly image. If I saw this guy coming towards me fence or no fence I would be running as fast as I could go in the opposite direction!!! Wish his left foot wasn't cut off. Did a small amount more editing to get rid of the chest reflections. Image certainly has good emotional reaction and has huge impact and interest. |

Mike the Deer shot is an amazing catch. To catch that deer deep in the water with such an amazing background is outstanding. You seem to have many ponds that have an abundance of wildlife! |

Mike, just wanted to say one more thing about your Egyptian Goose image. The more I look at this image the more I feel it is 3D. |

Thank you for your comments Issac. I did invert this image then some cloning, burning and dodging. It was made for the creative competition category of one of the camera clubs we are in. |

Marilyn, This is a strong composition and has no technical deficiencies. I think most people shoot the cormorant then over saturate it with color, yours is very realistic. Maybe a slight bit of dodging under the left wing but I wouldn't change anything else. Beside Wakodahatchee which is awesome , Green Cay is also very good spot to shoot. |

Leslie, agree with Jim and Ted's comments about your Black Bird. Your catch behind the cattail and his eyes staring right at you really makes it. Our Red-winged Blackbirds don't seem to have anywhere as much red as your variety. Good story Leslie. |

Really like this image Mike. The background is bright yet soft enough to make your spot on perfect focus goose really pop. Wouldn't change anything. |

Really like your Northern Waterthrush Ted. At first I thought much of it should be cropped but the more I looked at it I think I really like your Waterthrush in the middle of its environment. I think you did a great job freezing the action and having sharpness where it is needed.
Remember the image you send me can be 1 mg or less. Sizing 1024x768 doesn't matter at all. |

Sorry Don, had to get rid of that pool cement and border. Even tried to get rid of the pool cage reflections but didn't get anything I would consider fair. Like your Mallard Drakes and reflections. |

Really like your image of the Yellow Warbler. You caught him at the perfect moment singing to his mate. The colors and detail are excellent. Only suggestion I might make is to crop that very long branch and to lighten under his tail. What do you think Jim? |

Jamie, thank you for your comments. We are fortunate to have friends that own schooners and are lucky enough to go on sunset cruises. They are absolutely magical. |

Richard, this is where DDG is so good. I tend to not see the bad points on some of my images where another photographer looking at them will notice them right away. Will work on more space around the sun. Thank you for your comments Richard. |

First and foremost, welcome to out group Bridget. I think you will find it an easy going group with some excellent photographers. I would love to see the image in color although I think the monochrome is definitely more dramatic and the way to go. You have very good tonality and sharpness in the foreground and the background tends to disappear. Well done. |

Stewart, your image is tack sharp and has super visual impact and interest. Before reading your description I tried to figure out what your abstract image was. I thought it may be a Leatherman Tool from the side. Great eye on seeing this Ferris Wheel from the side. Some members of our group wanted the trees removed but it was hard to say so I removed them. Hate to say it by I think is is excellent either way. |

Richard, your trials, tribulations certainly were a success. Your 51 year old lens really came through and I bet it was fun doing it! |

Nice image of a rabbit, Jamie. Like Bev, I also adjusted contrast, burned some areas and sharpened. The only thing that really bothered me was the leaf touching and above his left ear so I cloned some detail into it. Better? |

Donald, image is a lot of fun and well composed. I find shops like these are a world of shooting images, may have a lot of deletes but pretty good odds of a winner. As Richard said the bright yellow image pulls you in on the left then through the image by the hubcaps. |

Being a huge fan of low key and monochrome, I really like this image. The lighting accentuates the mood and story. The background is non distracting and the image is quite striking. Curious why you went the extra mile and put and old lens on a state of the art camera? |

Like the colors, design and crop. Surprised the hand is slightly soft. We used to have a chalk art competition in Key West and some of the art work was larger than a car. Very interesting story . Would have even been better if a piece of chalk was in her hand. |

Mike, thank you for your comments. I am trying to think back and this image may have been and HDR image. Never thought about that street light. To me it is either a focal point or a distraction. Would be very tough to remove but will try it. |

Very interesting image John. At first it reminded me of the Road to Nowhere in Death Valley but I think yours is better. Colors seem very realistic. I did haze reduction and I think now it has better contrast but I wasn't there in New Zealand. What do you think? |

Very interesting image Nigel. At first I thought it was a postcard or painting so I went exploring on Google Earth and realized everything you are looking at is real. Glad the people are back in the walkway. Perfect crop and very well done Nigel. |

Mike, I think this image tells a very interesting story. It is perfectly cropped and exposed. You first see the border collie, hundreds of sheep, a diagonal fence and the fall foliage in the back that pulls you right through the image. It has great natural color, sharpness and definition. Quite striking! |
