Shirley, your image has great visual impact and interest. The lighting is perfect and everything is sharp. The one thing that bothers me is the downhill track. I hope you don't mind but I skewed the image to get the track parallel with the horizon. What do you think? |

Mohanan, this image is perfectly exposed, very balanced and the lighting accentuates the story. At first I didn't like that the model was looking to the left but the more I looked at it and realized the horse was also, I liked it more. Very nice composition. |

Keisha, what an excellent idea! The sharpness and color of the real street draws you right into the monochrome reflection. This is a strong composition that really tells a story. Very striking! |

Yamuni, thank you so much for your comments. I have found that the Nikon 200-500 does have a broad range of amazing image quality also but to get fair bokeh even at 5.6 is marginal. If I have good separation of subject and background it is fair but I still struggle. I certainly agree the background could be better. Thank you again. |

Marilyn, welcome to our Bird Group. I think we have all outstanding photographers in this group. Certainly agree with Leslie that this a super portrait. You have an excellent non distracting background. Every feather is sharp and detailed. The only thing I might do is slightly lighten the throat and eye. Very striking. |

Leslie, I am so impressed with the bird images that you have presented from Botswana. My thoughts on that area was heat, poverty and being eaten by a lion. Guess I was way off base. Your Crimson-breasted Shrike is outstanding. Love the pose and sharpness. Also like the background from sharp to soft. Thought about removing the leaves in the top right but then again the bird is looking at something in that area. What a magnificent bird! |

No way this gorgeous Mallard was taken at Straw's Bridge Lake Mike. You are so lucky that such a huge variety of birds visit there. Normally I would try and shoot a duck coming at me but if you did you would loose all the colors. Love the blues, whites and orange. Very nice detail and caught at the perfect moment with the wings down. Nice work Mike. |

Outstanding Mallard Hen and Duckling image Jim. Your low shooting angle really made it and am amazed that they all have catch lights. Tells a great story and the sharpness and definition is super. I did feel that they needed a little bit more space over their heads. What do you think? |

An amazing image Peter! Certainly has visual impact and interest. Like Ian said, it could be a lunar landscape. Where was it shot from to get this prospective? Excellent composition and all technical aspects to me are outstanding. |

Jennifer, would have like to have seen the color original. I like your monochrome version as it has a lot of detail and interest. Some would say too busy but for a travel log shot it is good. I felt that the whole image was crooked downhill so I adjusted it by 4 degrees. Also I used dehaze, added a slight bit more contrast and darkened the sky slightly. What do you think? |

Excellent image of and old church and grave yard. It is a very balanced composition and the surrounding areas compliment the subject. Great color , sharpness and definition. Only thing that bothered me was the modern day jet trails on the left. I removed them. Well done. |

Sylvia, your image has good visual impact and interest!. Love it when presented with a challenge! All I did was to dodge the glare area then cloned some of your clouds back in. Not too bad? Could use a little more work in the right pane. What do you think. This image is quite striking. |

Jamie, excellent catch of a Bumble Bee. The lighting accentuates the story. Great colors and the bee has very good sharpness and definition. Only thing that bothered me was the bee seemed to be competing with the colorful background. I left the bee alone and toned down the background slightly. I think it made the bee more prominent. |

Richard, this is a tranquil very realistic image due to your masterly use of the built in ND filters in the OM1 system. Have spent a lot of time on the Shenandoah and in the Smokies so this is my kind of image. Everyone has their opinions, so I actually like the foreground rapids because it makes you feel like you are in the water. I tried putting several stock fly fisherman into your image and none looked real. To me this image has no distracting elements in the frame and is a true landscape image. I wish other camera manufacturers would do the internal computerized ND filters. I have a bunch of these lens mounted ND filters and because of inconvenience they are highly under used. |

Stewart, agree with Donald, this is a great human interest shot that really tells a story. Love the bubbles and the mans expression. Two things bothered me on the right side, the bright white spot and the cut off little boy. I cropped it and I feel it made a much stronger image. |

Very special image Spring. Hope you had one made to put on the wall in your home. I agree with Michele that the bland sky balances with the bland water not saying I don't like it. I did remove the people and then used dehaze, it seemed to tone the sky and water down just a bit. What do you think? |

Michele, thank you for your comments. It was an image taken many cameras back with a low mega pixels. I thought it was pixilated also but still like it. Have been there many times and one time I was able to get an abbreviated tour access to the tunnels that run from El Morro to Castillo San Cristóbal underground. The Spanish were able to move troops from on fort to they other as needed. |

Michele, I looked at all of your Flickr images (all excellent) but I don't quite understand why this picturesque breathtaking area would be in decline?
Your final image is excellent. Lightening the entire foreground made a huge difference. Whites are very good. Wouldn't change a thing. Would love to see an image of the inside of the Chapel and the reconstruction of a cave. Very interesting. |
