Than, you have two items of great interest. A tack sharp grass hopper and an unusual ed tip fern that are merged into one outstanding image. Excellent! |

This tricolored heron is in mating plumage. The rest of the year they are no where near as colorful. Thank you for your comment Ron. |

Mike, your Grey Heron sure looks like our Great Blue Heron. Agree with Leslie's comments and you certainly did catch the Heron at the peak of action. Nest building makes it even better. Our Great Blues in Central Florida are sitting on their nests and we expect chicks very soon. |

Beautiful simplistic image Leslie. The Junco is tack sharp and the background is absolutely perfect. This looks like another one of your images that National Geographic might want. Like Jim said, "No recommendations for improvement."
Loved your Blog Leslie. Each image was better than the last. |

Ron , I have never seen a young Kestrel. Great catch! Wish he was slightly sharper. Great eye to even find this young Kestrel. Well done. |

Very nice image Don. Agree with Leslie's comments, plus I might crop a little off the left side. Your image has a good story and you certainly stoped it at the peak of action. Feather pattern and leg up are super. I also really like the background.. |

Jim, this is an amazing shot. If you weren't in manual you never would have got it. Your main focal point had to be well behind the bird but depth of field range big enough to capture the bird and water while excluding the tall grass in the front from focus and the woods in the back. The fish and the wing down really makes it. Also like the tall grass. |

Leslie, it is very sad, but we have seen it many times. The gators lay in wait at the bottom of the mangroves and trees for anything that falls out of the nests or gets to close. They go after eggs, chicks and full size big birds. Gators are lightning fast! Image was a full grown egret. Thank you for your comments. |

Maria, this is a gorgeous image. Your Tarabilla is tack sharp and there are no distracting elements in the frame. Even like the stick she is perched on. Excellent! |

Richard, thank you for your comments. One thing I don't like about my own image is that I had to cut off the yellow kayak on the right. I did feel the image needed the bright yellow as a starting or ending point though. |

Stewart, love low key images and I like the way you have a slight bit of light behind her back to differentiate her form the background which give it depth. Great subject and I like the reflections of the flash umbrella in their glasses. Very sharp and image is quite striking. |

Jamie, your image looks like a piece of water color art. I see the three tiny boats / objects out on the horizon but agree with Bev that a bigger boat or sailboat might be a needed center of interest. I am an administrator of a landscape / seascape group and have found that sometimes many do not bother with a center of interest. Very nice image. |

Bev, I like the vibrance but I am afraid it took away the sharpness of the kayaks and lines on their decks. |

Very nice image John. Adjusted your image 4 degrees for the left tilt. Love the temple and the bridge that draws you right in. Agree with spring that a left and right crop might be a plus and then you could also get rid of the unstimulating sky. Tried it. What do you think? |

Mike , you certainly have an eye for color, shades, contours and patterns. Concerning sharpness I have a feeling this image was taken during the heat of the day and thusly haze. Did haze removal and I think it brought the sharpness up. Very unusual image. Like it! |

Spring, love your minimalist image. To me it looks like a beautiful watercolor piece of art with a sailboat. The lighting certainly accentuates the mood. We as photographers love to tweak images but in the case of your image why mess with perfection.
Nothing to do with photography but I am also a long time sailor. The boat is a Catalina 36 and the jib and boat has definitely seen better days. |

Srijan, very good landscape image. I agree with Michele that the image is slightly flat. Hope you don't mind but I added a little contrast then cropped the left side. I think it makes a stronger composition. What do you think? |

Cindy, outstanding image especially knowing how fast and active these warblers are. I am finding that many small birds are very tough to shoot. Extremely sharp detail of the bird against the softness of the plant is nice. You really caught this bird perfectly. |

Steve, I am with you, Canada Geese are a favorite to photograph. Your goose is very sharp and I like the slight turn of the head. The water and the background have no distracting elements but I feel there is just too much of it. I tried a 4:3 crop and it makes the goose pop. What do you think? |
