Mike, I wish my windows were as clean as they should be but we have had so much rain in the last month they are not. Agree with You and Michael that areas of the hawk should be lighter. Will work on it. From our back windows we have a huge variety of birds. We go through a huge amount of mealworms and sunflower seeds. |

Thanks for the comment Ron. When I spotted the hawk, I think he had mostly eaten the squirrel. The sad thing about our sun room is that it must reflect the woods behind it and many birds fly into the glass. |

Thanks Michael, lighter probably would be more realistic. |

Ron, the feather pattern is beautiful and your crop fills the frame nicely. I feel the image is a little flat and needs separation from the background. Tried a little tweaking in PS. What do you think? |

Beautiful bird Leslie. Have never seen one in real life. Very colorful and sharp. Can they really run as fast as they say? Did tone down the surroundings to make him pop a little more. |

Not s fan of under the bird shots though yours is a good one. Perfect exposure, great sharpness and most important excellent eye. Sky couldn't be any better. |

That is an amazing image Mike. Looked it up on Google Earth and it looks like two big ponds. There are so many! Does the keeper give them enough grain to keep all of them alive? Why do they stay there? Shooting anything white is always tough but I think your exposure compensation plus 1.7 did a good job. The detail and sharpness is very good. Very interesting. |

Leslie, I agree with you totally. This hawk was virtually in the shrubs and at times would cover his prey with his wing because another hawk landed and was eyeing his catch. Tried darkening the background somewhat. Do you think it is any better? |

Janie, she just was just walking down the street going to a wedding. Her husband was also impeccably dressed. He said to me, "You have a good eye she just fits next to that old car". Just luck though! |

Stewart, I find this a very interesting and symmetrical but flat image. I put it in Aurora HDR and let it do its magic. What do you think? |

Janie, this is a very touching, perfectly taken and cropped image. I too am fighting some covid vaccine side effects also and I am glad you are back! |

Jamie, that is a VERY unusual catch and I love it. The only problem is the all important eyes. They are clear or white. What do you think of my fix? |

Hey Donald we both know its not the camera but the person taking the picture. D90 is still a fine camera though. |

I really like this! The seat draws you to the vase and flowers. Great detail. Wouldn't change a thing. |

Really like the Bee Eaters and don't mind fall-off of some of the details of the birds. the colors of the birds are vivid and really pop. I am not fond of the nest or object in the top right, find it very distracting and it takes away from your gorgeous birds. |

Michele, I agree with you that the green object and the lady walking is distracting but I feel your crop is too tight. I think the open air around it just feels better. To each their own. What do you think of this one? Thank you , Michele. |

Michele, love your blue hour image and I think everything looks perfectly natural. It is a very balanced composition due to several elements such as the trees and mountains. I like your slow speed stream and the wall closing in from the right. I would of questioned the line going up the mountain but luckily your commentary and explanations of your image is top notch! I have seen blue hour mountains and the slight blue is magical. |

Srijan , this image has gorgeous visual impact and interest and the lighting accentuates the the mood. I have seen this Pass before and isn't it covered with snow at times. Very nicely done. |

Nigel, this is a tough one! Like the image but it needed some work. Put it in photoshop, did a quick selection then inverse and decreased the whole exposure. Then dodged, burned and toned different areas. Still needs more work. Not sure it is better or worse? |

John, absolutely beautiful. Looks like a pastel! Lighter shrubs in left foreground help to show depth. Wouldn't change anything. |

Like the image but thought it it had a couple of distractions. Cloned in bushes to hide the fence, darkened the hot spots on the forward cactus and removed parts of the cactus on the right and left sides that were cut off. Possibly a little better? |
