21 Aug 24 Reply Very well said Ron... Aug 25th
21 Aug 24 Reply I took a moment and reduced the cattail shaft and I really don't like it. I really like the original. Just my opinion. Aug 17th
21 Aug 24 Comment Leslie, awesome shot of this yellow-headed blackbird. He is sharp tack sharp and the canted head really makes it. The background is totally no distracting and I personally like the gnarly twigs and branches. They sort of frame out the image. The attitude certainly gives emotional reaction. Aug 10th
21 Aug 24 Comment Excellent image of a Pine Warbler. It really tells a story about banding. The surrounding areas compliment the subject. Well done. Aug 10th
21 Aug 24 Comment Don, this image really tells a story and to get eyes on every duck is near impossible. I did do some slight edits. I felt the ducks and tire were a little flat to the bright background. Did slight haze removal and darkened the background. Also blackened the tire as it was a little blue. Any better? It was very good to start with. Aug 6th
21 Aug 24 Comment Mike, this image really tells a story. Has great visual impact and interest. Like Michael said, I might tone down everything slightly but the Jackdaws. You are really lucky to have Straw's Bridge so close to you. You have captured some amazing images from there! Aug 3rd
21 Aug 24 Reply Not sure what you mean Michael. Can't see anywhere where you said or did anything that would upset anyone. Aug 2nd
21 Aug 24 Reply Michael, thank you for your comments and thank you for pointing out the white spot. Looking harder at it I found several others that I will make disappear also. Thanks again. Aug 2nd
21 Aug 24 Comment Michael, my wife and I think it is a Black Crowned Night Heron. Nice catch, don't normally see them in flight. Aug 2nd

48 Aug 24 Comment Hi Janie, first and foremost I would like to welcome you to our General Photography Group. I am in several other groups but I like this one best because I can submit anything I want to. We have a nice group of very friendly photographers.

Gorgeous sunrise image. Love your crop and the angle of the waves. This image has super visual impact and interest and the lighting certainly accentuates the mood. Would like to see the horizon line a slight bit higher if possibly by cropping a very small bit off of the top. Well done.

48 Aug 24 Comment Thank you for your advice Jamie and Stewart. Lightened the shadows and also cropped tighter. Aug 7th
48 Aug 24 Comment Janie, first and foremost, WELCOME to our group. We have an excellent and friendly group of photographers and the group is extremely well run by Bev.

Thank you for your comments. Tried dulling the too bright greens. What do you think?

48 Aug 24 Reply Great idea Richard. I will give B&W a try. I think it is a bit contrasty too. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 24 Comment Excellent Model shot Stewart, Her pose is perfect and the deep red drape makes the image feel very rich. Wouldn't change anything but possibly her grip on the glass. Well done. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 24 Comment Very nice image Bev. Looks as though you put a filter or textured glass in front of it which I also like. The colors in our flag really pop from an almost monochromatic image. Well done. Aug 3rd

Your crop of the leopard is perfect and the face and the eyes are just super! The upper background I think is slightly bright especially on your original and less so on the monochrome. I think it makes him pop a little more. I hope you don't mind, I darkened both. What do you think? Aug 3rd

71 Aug 24 Comment Looks like an ad in a magazine for a gorgeous beach. Do like Michele's crop. The colorization of the beach is good in the top two images. Very nice composition Nigel, the shoreline pulls you in and forces you thru the whole image. Aug 20th
71 Aug 24 Comment Well thought out image and perfect crop Michele. I too have alway wondered how areas like this and the white cliffs of Dover manage to exist being limestone is so soft and easily washed away by rain and seas. Love the layering texture of the limestone and the barely hanging onto life tree in the upper third. The soft water is also plus. Were you in a boat? Wouldn't change a thing. Aug 20th
71 Aug 24 Comment Hey, I like picky Michele. This is the place to be picky because if the image is entered into a competition the judge will certainly be picky. There were actually several houses on the right that I cropped out but my goal was not to encroach on the blue lobster boat or the white sailboat above it. I probably should taken other exposures ten or twenty feet to the right. Aug 4th
71 Aug 24 Comment I really like Michele's crop. It brings the four although not an odd number into a nice tight nit group. May have to change the name to Docked Butterflies. I like the butterflies but like Nigel said they could use a little vibrance and sharpening to make them pop. All in all a very nice image. Aug 4th
71 Aug 24 Comment Super capture Srijan. In my opinion it is the goal of all photographer to cover the whole range from black to white. You have done that here. The closer mountains really draw you to the Sleeping Buddha's and Kanchenjungha. Very nice tonal quality. Wouldn't change a thing. Aug 3rd
71 Aug 24 Reply Like your adjustments Nigel. Aug 2nd
71 Aug 24 Reply Mike , it looked crooked to me also but after adjusting, the mast of the sailboats were all leaning so I went back to the original. Aug 1st
