Gloria, I like the frigate birds also. I slipped up by not putting them in. |

Gloria, I like this image especially being shot from the low vantage point. Gull and rock are sharp and well placed but the high key blown out background could possibly be better. Added a background that I feel works well. What do you think? |

Don, certainly agree with you. The whole bird is the best. In most club competitions and most others they use PSA rules and that is no hand of man. I think I would try a branch replacement because the Purple Martin with a bug is excellent!!! |

Don, your purple Martin is excellent! Sharpness and detail is right on and whenever in my book they have and object or insect it is a major plus. I just don't care for the metal rod he is perched on so I took the liberty to crop. What do you think? |

Mike, just a question. Are they the same size as Canada Geese or smaller like Brant Geese? |

Ron, very nice image. I like the final but love the low key original. This image has good visual impact and interest. Image also has very good color, sharpness and definition. |

Michael, love this image. It displays the peak of action. The background really makes the cranes pop. The snow in the air is a lucky touch. Wouldn't change a thing. |

Mike, super image! The geese are sharp as a tack, good catch lights in their eyes and slightly ripply lake water is very nice. I sure wish I had a Straw's Bridge Lake near me. |

Deborah, like your Mallard Drake but I feel as Maria said the water color is off and it really detracts form a good image to have the tail cut off. Hope you don't mind, I did a little work on it. What do you think? |

Thank you everyone for your comments. Original image was just so blown out I could barely see the bow and bowsprit of the schooner. I faked it and not very good I might add. Still not a fan of High Key so am going to hit the delete key most likely. |

First and foremost Stewart, WELCOME TO OUR GROUP. It is a friendly group with excellent photographers. Like this image a lot. We use to live in the north-east and we would find something similar called osage oranges. They looked identical. Perfectly cropped, great color, sharpness and definition. Like the way the fruit is offset in the upper half. |

Bev, very nice image. Isn't Miami Zoo just amazing! No fences and a clear view of everything. Only problem is that it is so big when I leave there I am exhausted. I like the angle he is sitting and the crop is perfect. Image has good visual impact and interest. Well done Bev. |

Very nice catch Paul and caught at the peak of action. Really like Jamie's crop because that vertical line or pole on the left draws your eye. The lighting accentuates the story and the water splash and drops really make it. |

Lloyd, couldn't be any better if you posed the mom raccoon your self! I did remove an object in the green that seemed to draw your eye away from mom. Like your write-up and this image defiantly tells a good story. |

Certainly NO disappointment Donald. Great tonality. I am also in a landscape group and if I have learned nothing else, I have learned that you do not need a focal point in the image because the whole image is the subject. Excellent composition and all the technical aspects to me are outstanding. |

Just beautiful Jamie. I live in a golf course community and we just love looking out our sun room at the seventh fairway with the sun coming up each morning. Agree with Stewart about the upper band of clouds but wouldn't change anything else. Definitely a Feel Good image that displays emotional reaction. |

Like the image much better with your crop Michele. The only reason for that building on the left was to show that Havana has mostly very old architecture but also some new. |

Think everyone would crop it slightly different but the final choice is yours Srijan. I took a little less off the right side than Mike since I really liked the horizontal lines mid page on the right side and I cropped a little off the bottom. |

Like the rich colors and the blurred movement of the scooter and background. Your image has great visual impact and interest. Agree with Nigel that it needs a crop on the right side but all in all it tells a good story. Well done SriJan. |

Very nice and informative image. Somewhat of a documentary image of how they fish in different areas. I can see that Vieste juts way out into the Adriatic Sea and fish moving north or south would most likely come close to shore and into their nets. Like the leading line of the rocky shoreline and the overcast sky is not really that important. Well done Michele. |

Nigel, agree with Mike that this area looks very futuristic. You captured it perfectly. Excellent city scape. I was amazed with these building so I went into Google Earth and the two big buildings weren't there just a few years back. Also the building on the left has a big green space courtyard right in the middle of it. Perfect exposure and very nice sky. Well done. |

Very nice image Mike. I have been told that the front goose with the head up is the primary look-out for the others. The image is sharp and tells a good story. I know rules can be broken but when you have odd numbers it keeps your eyes from wondering. I removed one goose and I think it makes a stronger image. What do you think? |

Mike, my wife and I were fortunate to spend many weeks in Havana and surrounding areas. In Havana people live in 500 year old buildings that are virtually falling into the streets. Amazing place for photographers. We have probably shot over 10 thousand images there. The Cuban people are happy but they have nothing. Also one of the safest places we have ever been. |

Mike, as I recall there was so much bluish smoke in the air that it did tint everything blue. I did remove the tint . I think the one without the blue tint is better. What do you think? |

Bruce, excellent crop and layout of this Barred Owl. You were very lucky to have that train pass because the background is a non distracting background that actually compliments the subject. Like everything about this image. |

Sanat, very nice image of the Red Crested Pochard. You caught it at the peak of action and the wing detail is just beautiful. We do not have them in the United States. I did sharpen your duck a very slight bit that it may have lost in cropping or being put on the DDG site. Well done. |

Super image and great story Steve. We had a similar story this year off of our sun room and somehow to our disappointment we missed the fledge also. They are all tack sharp and certainly an image with visual impact and interest. |
