Mike, back looking at all the images again. This is a truly excellent image. If the barren tree wasn't there and just the sky I don't think the image would be as good. Should be a 20 by 30 and on your wall at home. |

Ron, you made this image way better. Haloing is all but gone. We do go there on occasion. Seems to be getting better and better! |

Very nice capture Leslie. Love the way he is twisting to look. Very sharp and good non distracting background. Always like catch lights, so when I blew him up they were actually there so I just enhanced them. |

Michael, not a fan of high key but in this case I like it. Nice detail in the feathers but a little lost in the body. Do think there should be a little more room in front of the Pelican. Well done. |

Ron, Nice catch of a great expression on the bird and fairly sharp. I think slightly over exposed though. I tried many adjustment on your image but am still baffled by the haloing. Was this taken at Tuscawilla or Ocala Wetlands Recharge ParK in Ocala? |

Beautiful Egret Don. Very nice treatment of pure white hard to get any detail feathers. Some may say tone the feathers down more but I think you would loose the brilliant white of this bird. Tack sharp face and a very non distracting background. Nice catch light. Would not change anything Don. |

Like this image Gabriele. The lighting accentuates the story. Good sharpness in critical areas. Cropped it right down to where the actions is. What do you think? |

Lloyd, going through all the images again. This in my opinion is a true work of art. I would do one minor edit and that is remove what is probably a small leaf between the bird and its shadow. Outstanding in all ways. |

Lloyd, thank you for your comments. You are right about 1/15 or 1/30 but still difficult. Steady and parallel is tough. I also used some photoshop to clean it up. |

Lloyd, this is an absolutely flawless image. Wish you were in my Bird Group - 21. The background is soft, soothing and non distracting. The totally calm water and tack sharp reflection is amazing. Agree with Don this is a Winner!!! |

Thanks for your comments Don. I feel this is also a flub shot. I see so many things that could be better. Work in progress I guess. Going out tonight and try again on Duval Street in Key West. We shall see? |

Donald beautiful image. The water drop really enhance it. Many times we carry a spray bottle with glycerin to create the water drop effect. I honestly don't find your background distracting. I did try darkening it but not sure it is any better? |

Paul, thank you for your comments. For one of the Camera Clubs we are in, as part of the competition we are required to enter a panning image. Have shot several hundred images and not really happy with any of them. Way more difficult than what meets the eye! |

This is a classic image Jim. Should be on the wall in your home or even a post card. At first I though you put the balloon in the image but the more I looked at it, I think not. Very balanced composition and very well done. |

Love this image Paul. Excellent composition that really shows motion and color. To me it is somewhat abstract and just goes to show you don't have to have sharpness to express a good story. |

Extremely well done Bev. Rider is tack sharp. Has excellent visual impact and interest. Shows real technical proficiency. Wish I could find something to have you change but I can't. Well worth the work and probably a lot of fun. |

Michele, having been to the dunes many time in Nags Head people cannot imagine how immense the dunes really are. Have been there when the sand is so hot that the only way to walk is to dig your feet into the sand and have been there when it is blowing so hard that the sand actually stings. Also hard to believe that these huge dunes actually move with the prevailing winds. Like this image a lot. You can almost feel the wind sweeping from the left and torturing the base of the trees. The B&W really portrays the starkness. Super image. |

Ted, this is a beautiful composition. It feels somewhat like the clouds are emanating from behind the tree. I agree with Theresa about having the cutoff tree on the right. I also cloned out the cutoff palm on the left. These things were very minor Ted and may help a very strong image slightly. Well done. |

John, as others have said the Half Dome part of the image is gorgeous. I feel your image is actually three images recorded as one. I really like it. It has great visual impact and interest. You have desolate fog area, a mountain scene and a breathtaking Half Dome. Your first and second images are excellent. |

Hi Mike, please don't shoot the messenger but I feel your image needed a focal point or center of interest. I know many landscapes are acceptable with no center of interest. I did a quick (not very good) insert of a swan. What do you think Mike? |

Teresa, I really like your edited version. Mikes pick-up of the yellow cord and power box was a good one. The first time I saw your image it reminded me so much of holiday drone show that we went to. They had jelly fish, fish and many other things from the ocean. If you have never been to one go, I think you would love it. Love all the colors. |

Mike, thank you for your comments. If you don't have the free Photo Pills app on your iPhone you should get it. You can use it to predict the blue hour, golden hour and exactly where the sun or moon will be at any given time. The woman was just someone walking through my image but I liked her in it. Most of my my images had no-one. I thought she gave it a little more depth. Will try and lighten her up. |
