Jamie, varity is the spice of life! I like the original a lot but in this image I used Topaz, Aurora HDR and Photoshop. Added a slight vignette. Hope I didn't destroy your beautiful moody image. |

Paul, we were at this pond on Jekyll Island one day prior and one day after this shot and there was nothing. The middle day the pond was loaded with the biggest dragonflies I have ever seen all trying to mate. Also loaded with alligators trying to eat them. Fun photography day!!! |

Lloyd, I certainly understand that. I would be tempted to put him on a tree or stump but they don't allow that either in nature competitions. Last year I built 8 blue bird houses to precise requirements hoping to attract some. So far no good but we are hoping. Still a super shot Lloyd. |

Lloyd, great sharpness, beautiful color and the background really makes the bluebird pop. Just wish the bluebird was sitting on a stump or something not hand of man. Very well done. |

Mary, I did shoot it hand held but probably had a boardwalk railing for some support. I neglected to tell that there were many small gators trying to chomp these huge dragonflies. Thank you for the comment Mary. |

Bev, The composition and crop is perfect. I think your background replacement is complementary and the visual impact and interest is definitely there. Did notice that under his arm pit the background replacement did not fill in. I took care of that and darkened his beard a slightly to eliminate the slight green cast. Hope it does well in your competition. |

Paul, my wife looked at it and said where is the action? So I cropped it even more. Don't be angry with me but I like all of them!!! |

Donald, great action shot and her smile is definitely contagious!! The faces of the crowd definitely show excitement! I made a slight crop on the right hand side to eliminate the person that was cut off and used a haze filter since the snow seemed to loss detail. Great image! |

Paul, I agree with you that your new lens is doing a super job. In the art of photography there is no right or wrong and rules are to broken. I cropped the horizon to a third then removed some haze. I like all of them. Nice job. |

Mary, very clever! What would I change? NOTHING!!! I did try a total black background but didn't think it made a lot of difference. Very nicely done. Where do you find these creativity workshops? Definitely going to try this. |

Thanks John, it is definitely on the grunge and colorful side but I like it too. Have a 24x36 hanging in my home. |

Thank you everyone. The biggest challenge with this image was having a tripod setup in the middle of a very busy street and not getting run over. Doing a 9 image HDR with some of the exposures were almost two plus minutes long. |

John, gorgeous sunset in the Canyon. Love the detail and great tonality. Do agree with Michele that the blue sky is distracting but real. Tried a crop of the blue sky and that small peak off to the left that seems to draw your eye. Minor edit to a super image. |

Nigel, Thank you for sending me your link to all your images to the RAF site. They were all extremely interesting and well done. Your image is very futuristic and the blur and the lines pull you down the corridor and the lighting really accentuates the story. Well done.
Try this link to see all of Nigel's amazing images. A real documentary but with super photography.

Mike, very nice work. A true landscape. It looks as real and natural as it gets. There are no distracting elements and you have every element that makes it a super composition. The surrounding areas compliments the three subjects in this image very nicely. |

Ted, this is a VERY interesting image. Everything Theresa did really made it pop! It brings strong emotional reaction and keeps your eye in the image a long time. I finally realized that you turned it upside down. Very clever! |

Michele, love the blue hour and the florescent setting use. I see in post processing you sharpened the whole image especially the villa and the village which made them really pop. The lighting really accentuates the mood and creates a real emotional reaction. Love it! |

I personally like your cropped image. The original tends to lead you in and right back out. Your second holds you. This image has beautiful tonality, nice composition and has strong visual impact. |
