Hi Neal, after reading your comments and others I tried cropping the right side then the lower right and decided I really like it exactly the way you presented it. Very interesting, super lighting and I feel it has great visual impact and interest. |

Hi Richard, I just love this image. The sunset, all the birds in the air and water, the low tide tidal ponds and reflections. Are you by any chance at Fort De Soto? Beautiful job. |

Lance, if you ever print it on metal I would love to know what you think. Bet it would be amazing. |

Lance, this is a very interesting image. Love the blue monochrome variant. It looks to be a an aluminum sculpture. Love it! |

Hi Pinaki, The colors and the idea of this image is good but there are a few things that need to be fixed. The hot spots in the background are very distracting, a few of the petals need to be toned down slightly and the two parts of flowers in the top right need to be removed. Never want a part of anything in your image. Bev's edit was good but it still needs a little more. Could be a great with a little work. |

Fred, this is a beautiful soft moody image. I did try a 180 on it and I am not sure which one I like best. Very well done. |

Mary, I like your butterfly and your idea of photographing on colors is very unusual. I did a couple of fine adjustments including sharpening his proboscis (Ha Ha). Possibly a little improvement to a fine image. |

Bev, thank you so much for the invite. Down here it takes us about 2 weeks to shutter up, close down the house and pack a car and a truck, then we get in and drive straight through 8 to 10 hours. YUC!!! We want to get home mid April than go to the Birding Festival in Saint Augustine. |

OK Bev, don't shoot the photographer/photoshoper. All kidding aside the image was shot at the perfect time. Film to digital is not an exact science. I cleaned up her spotted blotchy complexion a little and gave her a whole new background. Glad you don't know where I live!!! Just kidding! |

Thank you Jamie, That's the beauty of Miami Zoo. They use a moat system with steep walls for the bigger animals and for the birds, geese and ducks they have a huge Avery where you are right in there with all the wildlife. Thank you for your comments. |

Mary, it is a heavy lens and on the D850 makes it a handful. The plus is that I have had amazing outstanding results with that Lens. Maybe I have built my arms up enough (I like to think) that I hand hold it all the time. Probably stupid to be up on the edge of that tank when the lizard was big and mean!!! |

Hi Mary, yes I was shooting hand held. Probably illegal in the zoo, I climbed up and propped the lens on top of the glass which was only a foot above his pond. That was even scary! This lizard never took his eyes off me. |

Hey Paul, first and foremost I'm glad you decided to stay with the group. To the image. Perspective control is very difficult with a fisheye lens. Convergence is many times the issue. Tried to skew the image quite frankly I like yours better! Just a little to much sky in yours. |

Hi Donald, welcome to our friendly group of excellent photographers. I like your image but I think the red/pink is just too hot. Tried toning it down just a bit. Like the leading line stem coming in from the lower left and the background being out is super. Well done. |

Hi Lloyd, Not a big fan of high-key but I love this one. I would put this in my living room! Like the three trees and each is interesting in itself. You are not drawn to just one but tree but whole image. The whites are one of the multitude of off whites and not pure. You can certainly feel the cold. Really like it! |

Mike, that doesn't mean I don't like the image. It must have been amazing being up in high country and seeing Sandhill Cranes fly by. Here in Florida we have the Sandhills that are year round residents (just beautiful) and we also have the migrators that look like that have been in tornados (no color, just gray). |

Mike, the idea of the Sandhill Crane with the snowy mountains was excellent but I find the bird to be very soft. Your speed of 1/1600 of a second should have stoped it dead even without panning. I tried to sharpen the bird but am not entirely thrilled with it. Still a nice image. |

Nigel, this is a unique sharp front to back image. It really give you the feeling of a mountain path where torrents of rain or snow runoff comes down to the sea. Were you hiking or in a jeep? The lighting is perfect. It has good visual impact and creates interest. I did try flipping it to make the root trail a leading line in but if the story is a root trail runoff the original is better. |

John, at first I thought the top half of the frame was way more detailed and realistic than the bottom. Then I blew up the bottom half and found it had great detail and nice contrast. Very nicely put together also. Do you hike a lot? Nicely done John. |

Ted, where you shot this image was just perfect with the converging rock formations and the scene below with the rock structures to the left are just beautiful. There was a flare or something between the formations with a circle in it that I removed. I do feel like Michele, that it is very contrasty. Tried to take it down a little but did not like the results. Still a very nice image. |

Hi Michele, I have seen this image sans the person in red and blue many times. I found it to be a very static but beautiful hallway. I like the zoom technique giving it motion and almost an abstract beauty. People on the right don't bother me at all but I do have a question. Did you paste Edoardo in? He is in fairly good focus. Very nicely done. |
