48 Jan 23 Reply No Mary, just a walkway. There is water all the way around the outside of this amazing building. Image was taken at the left end of the small Image I enclosed. Plan to spend several hours. Also very close to there is Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive which is amazing. Jan 12th

48 Jan 23 Comment Mary, having moved south 22 years ago, Longwood Gardens is one place I really miss. They must have a huge team that keeps it looking magical and breathtaking year round. Your image is one of those magical moments. I did try cropping it square to make it somewhat symmetrical but honestly love it both ways. Super image Mary. Jan 12th
48 Jan 23 Comment Jamie, very nice abstract. Wouldn't change a thing. My wife loves abstracts and does all kinds of crazy things. Jan 11th
48 Jan 23 Comment Margaret, very nice image of your grandson. Only thing it needed was a little on top and and a little less on the bottom. Other than that very nice. You should be proud. Jan 11th
48 Jan 23 Reply Jamie, Thank you for your comments. Here is a small picture of this amazing building. Jan 5th
48 Jan 23 Reply Lloyd, I lightened it up somewhat and do like it way better! That's why this group is so good! I thought to myself that the image was good and probably never would have lightened it. I will say that minutes after the original was taken it started to rain. Thanks Lloyd. Jan 5th
48 Jan 23 Comment Paul, In the world of high key photography and art, high key is very accepted. It does create a certain light, pleasant mood, as opposed to a dark, shadowy image which most often creates a very dramatic mood. I prefer low key so here is my alternative. I think it pops! To get a humming bird to sit still and on a vertical stalk is very pleasing and near impossible. I like that there are no distracting elements in the frame. well done.

48 Jan 23 Comment Bev, very nice image of a happy, jolly lady that really shows her emotional reaction. Like the background and even the reflections in her glasses makes the image more real and interesting. Well done. Jan 2nd
48 Jan 23 Comment Lloyd, I like your abstract and my wife loved it! I do like the graininess of the image and living on the Atlantic Ocean my whole life your image is very true to form. The exposure is perfect and the lighting accenuates the story of our tides. Very well done. Jan 2nd

71 Jan 23 Reply Theresa, I agree with you that it is a super image! Should be a magazine cover or an entry way for the town chamber of commerce! Many possibilities for it. Super! Jan 26th
71 Jan 23 Comment Mike, I like both versions. I am torn between the cropped version and the full length version. The cropped version definitely makes the light house pop but the full length version, the leading line up to the light house is a plus. Since we are landscapes / sea scapes in this DDG I lean towards the full length version. Not saying I would not use the cropped version for some competitions. Jan 19th
71 Jan 23 Comment Nigel, like this edit best yet. I am still going to try lighten the top and back half of the lighthouse. I know you should never have the horizon deciding the image in half but I do feel it is close to 60/40. This image has done fair in competitions but everyone has pointed out areas that can be improved and I appreciate it. Jan 15th
71 Jan 23 Comment I agree and thank you to everyone on their crops, somewhat hot beach, more light on the lighthouse and helpful critiques. It is definitely a work in progress. Jan 12th
71 Jan 23 Comment John, this is and beautiful image. I gather it is an infinity pond or pool with gorgeous vegetation behind it. I agree with Michele that the window frame complexity is a distraction and I even took it a little further. This image definitely has visual impact and interest. Jan 12th
71 Jan 23 Reply Frisco, Buxton, Hatteras and Ocracoke are my favorite areas on the Outer Banks. Did you see Hatteras Lighthouse being moved? Amazing! Jan 6th
71 Jan 23 Comment Michele, love the Monochrome image especially since it was at low tide. We go to the Outer Banks every summer. Has really grown up and become extremely busy! Really like the wide angle and the very long exposure. We do a lot of multi image HDR in scenes like this. You really captured the feel of the moment. Do not understand the purple of the original? Very well done. Jan 6th
71 Jan 23 Comment Nigel, this is a true landscape with a lot of human interest. The story of how you ended up in Havre St Pierre was most interesting and the residents coming to say good bye was heart warming. Your evening exposure is right on and I wouldn't change a thing except for the brilliant white sign on the left. Well done. Jan 2nd
71 Jan 23 Reply Like this edit also. Photography really is fun and always a lot to learn. Jan 2nd
71 Jan 23 Reply Very nicely done!!! Another place for my bucket list. Right now I have to live to be 150... Jan 1st
71 Jan 23 Comment Mike, I like this image a lot. I did two minor edits that I think makes it much stronger and gives it more visual impact and interest. I cropped a portion of the upper 1/4 that I thought was slightly distracting and made the lambs tail end within the frame. What do you think? It is definitely a good story and composition. Jan 1st
71 Jan 23 Comment Theresa, I love this image!!! Would not change a thing but do have some questions. Is it being back lit by the monster trucks headlights or a town or something? At first I thought that you added the Milky Way but looking at your originals I can see they are a real and a great addition. Like the highlight green on the right hand side. This image looks like a mystical magical image put together by Disney's staff. Great catch! Jan 1st
