44 Nov 22 Comment Hi Don, You are in a great group of very talented photographers. I am a lover of old barns and structures. This is excellent! Like the grunge and I don't think it is over done. Very realistic blend. I made aa few minor changes to get rid of the new. What do you think? Very well done Don. Nov 2nd

48 Nov 22 Reply Mary, still a great eye. I think this is why the DDG is great because it makes all of us think. Nov 12th
48 Nov 22 Comment Mary, this is a very unusual plant and I have heard of it but never seen one. I do have a question for you however. I gather your ISO was 800 due to the arboretum being somewhat dim and low light. My question is why didn't you shoot somewhat slower such as 1/30 or 1/60 of a second then your f stop could have been f-8, f-11 or f-16 thusly giving you a much sharper image? Very good eye for something different. Nov 12th
48 Nov 22 Comment Jamie, you did and absolutely gorgeous job on this image. I certainly agree with Mary and Lloyds comments about your edits. The old car is mother of pearl and virtually pops off of the screen. Super! Nov 8th
48 Nov 22 Reply Thank you Lloyd. Nov 8th
48 Nov 22 Reply Hi Mary, high on the ship the boobies and Gannets wold fly by very close maybe 20 feet so the 70-200 was fine but then they would see a flying fish far below they would dive. This is where I wished I had a four or 500 mm lens. This was actually very exciting. Nov 8th
48 Nov 22 Comment This is a terrible image but I just didn't have the right lens with me. Needed a 500mm because these huge seabirds were so far down from the bow balcony of the ship. If you look close you can see the Gannet closing in on the flying fish. Nov 5th
48 Nov 22 Comment Tried a quick fix on that hot spot. Any better? Nov 5th
48 Nov 22 Reply Paul, the glass may have given it an extra element of softness which I think adds to the image. Nov 3rd
48 Nov 22 Reply Lloyd , next. summer or fall we hope to go out to Yellowstone or back up to New England. Hope the gas prices are down! Haven't seen beautiful foliage in a long time. Nov 2nd
48 Nov 22 Comment Bev, like this image a lot! Not your typical head-on tiger. This has a high interest factor. Exposure is great. Possible hot spot over the left ear. I think you brought his true color back into him. It really does tweak your imagination as to what has his attention. Love it! Nov 2nd
48 Nov 22 Comment Paul, at 1000mm this is one heck of a shot! I would consider this a high key image and I think the background actually frames the Junco. Well done on a difficult to shoot image. Nov 2nd
48 Nov 22 Comment Margaret excellent capture! The Bull Moose looking at you is amazing! I removed the head of the other moose to the left and straightened it a little. I know with nature you are not allowed to edit or tweak but I think it made your excellent image a little better. Love it! Nov 2nd
48 Nov 22 Comment Lloyd, very nice pano! Your warm colors are true and the sky is perfect. Even the water is perfect. It alway amazes me how software can analyze and put that many images together perfectly! Maine is almost 1800 miles from me but I sure would like to get up there for fall foliage. Nov 2nd

71 Nov 22 Reply My humble opinion, this is Perfect. Nov 16th
71 Nov 22 Reply Michele, I agree with you and I also think the whole image is on the grunge side. I have several issues I plan to address. Thank you for your comments. Nov 15th
71 Nov 22 Reply Perfect in my book! Love it! Nov 15th
71 Nov 22 Comment Beautiful image Michele. It really does draw you right down through the valley. Love the early fall yellows, reds then through the green valley. Haven't seen fall colors in 20 plus years and really do miss it. Do agree with mike on a slight bit more contact in the sky. I did try burning very slightly the rock 1/3 of the way across the bottom and the big one on the right but honestly likes it both ways. Very well done. Nov 15th
71 Nov 22 Comment Jim, this is a gorgeous image. Looks like a Pano. I would agree with Mike about possibly cropping a small bit of clouds off the top but not a lot or just tone down the one very white cloud. One minor minor item is the egret that is cut in half on the lower right side. Excellent image! Nov 15th
71 Nov 22 Reply John, I don't like the white shadows either. I am going to work on it. Nov 11th
71 Nov 22 Reply Theresa, just tried cropping the rolling top clouds and I do like it better. I was on the beach in the dark and when the sun came up and the sky just exploded. Twenty minutes later it was all gone. Thank you for your suggestions. Nov 10th
71 Nov 22 Reply Nigel, thank you for the welcome. I never notice the luminosity being inconsistent until you mentioned it. I think you are right on the dodging of the branches. I am going back to the original and figure out what I did and how to make it better. Thank you so much for the critique. Nov 10th
71 Nov 22 Comment John, absolutely beautiful tranquil colorful image. I do think Mikes suggestions did improve image. Only other thing I might do is tone down the white bolder in the middle slightly. Very well done. Nov 9th
71 Nov 22 Reply Hi Mike, I cloned the fence and trees to the right of the Shepherds head to the left of his head. Hope you don't mind. I just thought it looked less distracting. Nov 8th
71 Nov 22 Comment Mike, hope you don't mind but I removed the building which was a little distracting then cropped a hair. A little better? Nov 3rd
71 Nov 22 Comment Nigel, I am thrilled to be part of your group. Please no apology for busy or a record type image because in my opinion this is a true landscape. I think it is absolutely beautiful and it makes you want to explore the village. I did try a quick haze removal and not sure it adds anything. Well done. Nov 2nd
71 Nov 22 Comment Mike , this is a great human interest or documentary image. I like it a lot! How did you ever get the shepherd and all the sheep looking towards you? Very nice tonal quality and really like the background being somewhat out of focus. A sheepdog trial sound VERY interesting. Well done. Nov 2nd
71 Nov 22 Comment Theresa, this is an amazing mood image. I just love it!!! Live and learn. I did not know what a Moonbow was. One of the camera clubs that I compete in the assigned category this month is rainbows. I wish your image was mine because it is a sure winner! Really like the slow speed blur of the waterfall. Nov 2nd
71 Nov 22 Reply Mike, thank you for the welcome. This image was taken very early and I felt is was somewhat contrasty. I am going to work on it further. Thank you for your comment. Nov 2nd
