Rick, this appears to be a very realistic blend. Love all the earth tone colors. You can almost feel the heat in the Paint Gorge. I think you accomplished everything you tried for. Very nice. |

Rick, now that you mention it way back with film, I used to go after the Orton effect but now I just consider it to be a little painterly. Always fun to experiment!
Rick, I had to laugh, near the seagull is a spot! I thought wow have a spot on my sensor then I realized my wife was next to me throwing crackers into the air to attract the seagulls! |

Wow! Like it. The clouds even look meaner!!! Doubt the old barn will even be standing once that front come through! |

Love this image Brad. My feeling as to what really makes it is the fore-boding clouds. I like the contrast, deep colors and clarity of the barn and foreground. Mountains give tremendous depth to the image. Will try NEO+. |

This is a very interesting image Max! At first I thought the geyser flow was coming towards me then I realized the blue was the lake and the flow was away. Having never seen something like this in real life, I think the colors and textures are very realistic. Like it Max. |

Bill, love the texture of the floor and door leading the viewer right out to the Hotel Mead. The only thing that bothers me is the blue sky. Tried about a half dozen things and didn't like anyone of them. Great eye Bill! |

Mary, thank you for your comments. On a rare occasion we hit a good day and this was one of them. Some of the images of this lighthouse I was standing waist deep in water but I liked the leading lines of the shoreline. |

Jamie, thank you. I like the curve as a leading line also. My wife and I love lighthouses also. Two of our favorites are Portland Head Lighthouse in Maine and Thomas Point Lighthouse off of Annapolis, Maryland in the Chesapeake. On my bucket list are several on the Great Lakes. |

Thank you Lloyd. On occasion you do luck out with real clouds. For me not very often. |

Bev, I like it both ways. Was rather disappointed when we came back in the evening with a beautiful sunset behind the lighthouse and the water was totally gone. Was hoping for a good water sunset reflection. |

Margaret, great point of view! What I think you have achieved is the feeling you could be swept away and over the falls any second! Very well exposed image. The muddy colors make the image and the white cascading of the falls some may say to bright but I think in this case very realistic. Well done. |

Hi Mary, Very cute image. Either a pose or a tude. Cropped the distracting person and removed the glare from the glasses to enhance the beauty of your granddaughter. Like it a lot! |

Bev, this is a masterful image. You did an absolutely perfect addition and choice of the background wall. If you didn't tell us that you put it in I never would have thought twice. The artist, shadow and pug couldn't be any better! In competition this should do very well! Excellent job! |

Paul, please don't get upset with me, this is a great image but I feel it needs a couple things to be a super image. First of all the reflection with the head cut off bothers me, second the head and eyes are slightly out of focus due to selective focus behind the head and lastly, I cropped a little off the left side so the goose is looking into the image. This was a beautiful find! The color of the pond and Lilly pads are just beautiful and position of the goose is perfect. |
