Love this mountain landscape. what I think that makes it especially interesting is the multi colored roofs of many home and buildings. The clouds and shadows also make it very dramatic. The wikipedia link was also very interesting. How do you get to the top of the volcanic plug and are you allowed into the monestary? |

Lisa, I love this image. The shiny pollished metals and the brilliant yellow and blue colors. Everything is very sharp but this is not why I like it. It portrays motion. I feel like I tripped on the first step and am falling headlong down the left side steps of the escalator. Very good image and super insight! |

Hi Mary Ann, Like your robin image. The twist of the head and they way it is holding onto the tree makes it even more interesting. Great sharp exposure even through a window. Just my two cent but I don't think you need the branches on either side. Well done. |

Lori, I love this image. Like the surf breaking under the pier, like the old weathered leaning piling with the uneven supports and even your sky fits nicely. Since they say that the human eye enters an image from the lower left, I did a horizontal flip. This tends to give you a leading line (the pier) right to the tower. Love it either way. Just my two cents. |

Skewed lighthouse slightly to the right. Measured and remeasured and I think it is straight vertical. Three other lighthouses that are breath taking are Thomas Point Lighthouse in Maryland, Nubble Lighthouse in Maine and Portland Head Lighthouse in Maine. If you can catch Portland Head Lighthouse with s rough stormy sea it is spactullar! |

Ron and Don thank you for your comments. All well taken. You are definitely right about some judges having a prejudice against HDR. I find HDR very exciting when you put a series of images from blown out to totally dark into Aurora or Photomatix and and amazing image pops out! |

Richard, thank you for your comment. This image is a little toward the Grunge side but surprisingly it has done very well in competitions. It seems to me judges tend to not like Grunge and lean towards realistic but I think there is room for both. |

Very nice and very realistic Landscape. Too bad the foreground road gets lost in the curve. Could have been a nice leading line but you can't change nature. Like the way you cropped, kept the expanse light leading up the road and Denali breathtaking. Very well done. |

Ron you shoot the things that I just love. Like the angle and tight crop of this image. The red door and the barber pole really pop. Very nice HDR. |

His Paul, My wife and I are lovers of old forts and lighthouses. We have visited many from Key West to Maine. We looked and looked at this Lighthouse. The lighthouse in Marblehead MA is one that looks like the all metal one in Sanibel Florida. We thought how did we miss this beauty. Through further research I think this is Marblehead Lighthouse in Marblehead, Ohio? Would have loved to see some clouds in the sky but when traveling you get what you get. could be added. Like it being slightly off center. It hits me that the light house is leaning but I know it is not. Horizon is perfect. Very nice image. |

Hi Don, absolutely love this image! If it were mine it would definitely be on the wall in my home. If I were to change anything I would I would do a horizontal flip. Since your eye supposedly alway enters from the lower left the board walk would be a super leading line into an awesome image. Well done. |

Bev and Margaret, thank you for your comments. I think it is slightly under exposed making it look somewhat like an HDR image but it was not. Still like it but I think it is a wall hanger and not for competition. |

Gary, I really like the Pacific Parks sign, love the purple octopus and the movement of the crowd. The only exception is is that person in red on the lest just draws your eye. Like the centering of the image. All in all nice shot! |

Jamis , I really like this image. The only thing I might change is to flip the image so the walkway would come into the image as a leading line then your eyes would not take you right out of the image. Have always read and told that the human eye alway looks at an image fro lower left going right. Just a thought. Like it either way. |

Margaret, Like your control of the depth of field of the background being out of focus. Nice vibrant colors. Well done. |

Gary, I wouldn't change very much. I like the water being a leading line into the beautiful bridge and reflection. Would love to see the same image with fall colors. Welcome to our little group Gary. I think four of us are Floridians. |

Bev, maybe I am different but I like the soft image and the frame. I would fix the frame under your copyright symbol and the lower left corner then make a 24x24 print and put it on your wall. Love it! |

Bob, I also like this image. Very sharp but I felt a little flat. I put it into Aurora and tried various settings and thought this was fair. What do you think? |
