My attempt looked like a cross between yours and Mike's John. I think that revealing a bit more of the foreground creates a depth to the image and introducing a bit of light and shade into the large cloud helps create a bit more atmosphere. Good shot - I like it. |

Thanks for all your comments. I removed the top shadow on my own copy already Tom, after Theresa commented on it so I got roughly the same as yours. The bottom ones I left in.
I don't mind editing at all - thanks.

I wish I could get 7 hours solid - it seems to be wake up at 2:30 then 5am then out like a light at 7am and have difficulty waking up!

Well I had 2 minutes with an Adobe techie on my PC and problem solved - I'd still be fumbling around with it. I had a play with removing the lines - I don't know how successful you think it is but I was just pleased to get back into PS again. |

Can't add anything to that - beautiful location and well processed. |

I was just about to have a play with this one but when I opened Photoshop I saw that the latest update has removed all my actions, changed my workspace and layout and appearance so a great deal of work to do to put it right.
I think Tom's straightening improved it and the only other thing I'd attempt would be to clone all the electrical wires. The Remove tool in PS would make this easy. Great reflections.

I like the mood of this image and the position of the ship. The sky looks better with the highlight fixed. Might be nice to see if you can draw out the pinky/orange tones to add a bit more drama. |

Thanks all for your comments. The top shadow was left behind from the person I cloned out. Thanks for that. If you really zoom in, you'll notice that the cobbles are laid in a series of patterns going in one direction and then the other all the way around the tree. The lower shadow is one of those. |
