Thanks for your comments everyone. The de-haze and clarity work well on this so I'm going back to it. It's certainly a lovely memory of the place we saw. Good edits from Tom & Michele thanks. |

Welcome to the group Michele.
I think I'd be happy with this one as well. The composition is spot on and there are great leading lines from bottom left through to the canyon that takes you to the sun. Good sky too. |

I'll add my welcome to that of Mike, Tom.
A great subject and although centrally placed in the frame it works well. The sky is so interesting I'd like to have seen more of it and less of the sand in order to change the aspect a bit. Some of the area behind the driftwood looks like it has been dodged and the luminosity value across the sea isn't entirely consistent. I think you may have done that in order to provide more separation between the wood and the sea but it might have been better leaving the sea and darkening the wood down to give the effect. I didn't try it though. In any event it's a good scape. |

Good subject matter Mike. This works well with a gradient map to turn into mono and slightly lightening the subject and darkening the surrounding area, especially the light building in the top left which is competing for attention. Well composed though. |

Well set up shot Theresa. I like the leading line from the bottom left hand corner so would leave the 2 reddish dots in, but I would darken the lighter ones just up from there, under the line of the waterfall so that there's nothing competing in that area. 13 seconds is a long exposure for some and might introduce noise but your Sony seems to have controlled this well. Good image. |
