All the action in this great shot is in the middle so I thought a letter box crop might work with the surfer further over to the right and a little kick of exposure and a bit of exposure blending.

Agree with Paul about the crop. Did you have any images taken from further right to give eye to eye contact - that's likely to be a better composition. |

It's a shame there's not enough background and the colours are quite similar so to get good separation, even though the boat is large in the image, is difficult. The way I attempted this was so select the boat and change its colour to red which gave a better contrast with the grass. Then, use a selective blur technique as Theresa suggested.

Thanks Paul. I'll have to do that. The truth is, there was so much rubbish on the top grey board that I got fed up with cloning, but it would look better without, I agree. |

Definitely spooky and a good conversion from the original. I can see the Addams Family having a picnic on the lawn there. |

Thanks for commenting Bev. I would have liked a bit of space around the image but there were other shops immediately next on both sides which made it difficult. It is a busy image, I agree. |
