What a great composite. Super leading lines and the exposure balance between the two images works really well. If there was a link to the technique used for seamlessly combining the two images here I'd like it please!
I especially like the way the Milky Way falls naturally into the valley with just an extra kiss of light to accentuate it. Brill! |

The theme of Solitude is captured well. I wonder whether some simplification would help. For instance, there's sky, sea, sand and grasses as well as the man in the picture, all competing for your attention. I tried this one with a letterbox crop that puts the man on the lower left 1/3 of the image cropped just above the grass, and I personally preferred it. It makes the image too small but I think it helps the balance and theme. If you had another image with more sea and sand to the right hand side that might work. |

Great subject matter. I think this would benefit from a bit off the left as well as the right, in order to concentrate the viewer into the meat of the image. At the same time, some tonal work on bringing out the reds and oranges in the sky, together with some work on the lighter areas of the sea would provide some depth. Yes, the jet trail pulls the eye away from the centre so get rid of it. Wish I'd have taken it. |
