Thanks Pete, I like your treatment which gives more emphasis to the rubbish. But my idea was to emphasize the "light at the end of the tunnel" or really the side light there and to diminish everything else. |

Thanks. No filter was used. Just dodging and burning as shown by the original |

Wow Sophia, this has real impact. It's a show stopper! I think I like the original sky better, mainly because of its gorgeous color. If you were going with that, l would clone out the star trails that show up. Congratulations…looking foward to more from Greece! |

Hi Victor. Welcome to Group 5! I love the foresight in seeing the potential from the original capture and using it as the basis for an engaging abstract image. I love the color conversion and its richness. We probably all see different things in it so this is my personal take. There are two things that I notice in the image : a strong increase in luminance as we travel up the image and the central placement of the new element, the lightening. My only thought is that these could work together by reducing luminance along the top, have a uniform vignette around the image and brightening the area where the lightening is placed. This would give more prominence to the lightening and keep our eye in the centre of the frame. |

Great action shot! Just a compelling moment in the tackle! I think all your edits are perfect. I am a fan of the use of AI for this kind of thing great but so many salons are making it illegal. This is sad because no one wants to spend hours cloning stuff out. I agree that using AI to add new elements like a fictional player scoring would be a step too far. |

Hi Pete, Sabrina seems like a fun person to know, so thanks for this introduction. I think you have done a good job taming the hot spots. It's so hard to do well. Her forward thigh looks a bit grey, maybe a touch of the white balance sliders to increase the yellow and magenta and increasing saturation a click could restore some color. |

Hi Keisha, just a perfect capture of the pigeon. You sure did have the settings right for it! My only thought would be to bring up the shadows around its visible eye so we see it more clearly.
As you say the ducks are a key part of your story although for me they are a bit distracting and I would probably clone out all of them so we just have a bif shot. |

Hi David, this is an exciting image and really grabs the intensity of the racing. I think your major edits are fine although not legal in a photojournalist salon. TBH I would not have noticed the slight displacement of 96 but agree it's the kind of detail judges often pick up on. I think the the two riders create pleasing balance in the frame.
Noted you have made the background less saturated to give relative pop to the front rider. I think maybe a click more Eg contrast to bring more to 86. Could try some desat to 96 too so he doesn't compete |
