Looks Yummy Richard and I would say it evokes exactly the response in us that made you take the photo originally. We want to reach out and try that mango (or what ever is your favorite). It may be an illusion but the wall at the back looks like its off the horizontal and since this composition emphasises symmetry then suggest your rotate it to even up the tray. Would then probably need Generative Fill. |

Thanks Jim. This is interesting because I invariably darken skies but here I did the opposite by lightening the blues. My instinct was lighter this time but I don't think I can analyse it that much. Your sky is more attractive but I think it makes the island stand out less. I was trying for something super simple and minimalist. |

Hi Sophie
Lost for words really. Fantastic vision and execution. I spent a while looking at the light on the elephant and figured it worked perfectly. Afterall people that know will realise its a composite but I don't see anything to suggest the elephant was taken at dusk. I can't see any faults in the composite but this is a low res image so I guess you will scrutinise the original to make sure there is nothing off around the masking before printing. Congratulations! |

Hi Oliver, this is a nicely balanced composition. Its all very exotic especially the red sails. I felt tempted to brighten up the sail boat but that is really unnatural since you expect to see it in silhouette. But there is a hint of light coming through the sails and I don't think we would offend physics if that was brightened up. The sails obviously have some translucency. |

Hi Jim what a privilege to witness this and even more to get your own photos. I don't have anything to suggest re processing and as a natural phenomena be good to leave it as natural as possible. I did wonder about the deep orange glow in the original. You made a decision about removing it but I rather like it. In the case of the moon it could enhance the fact that these objects are globes and the glow around the sun seems appropriate too. |

Hi David what a wonderful shot. She looks full of character and fun. Good on ya for seeing the potential and reaching out. I really like the outcome and the black and white conversion is very good. The only thing that drew my eye were the fly away hair on our right hand side. Its there in the original but seems more intense in the processed version and it looks over sharpened. I would leave it blurred out as in the original |

Thanks Sophia. No worries about last month, hope you had a great time away! And thanks for your comments on this one. I think you are right but just giving second thought to flipping something well known, at least locally. |
