Wow Richard, this works so well. I spent most of my time with this image choosing what I would have (went for the colorful eggs in the bottles, left hand side hoping they have chocolate inside). I felt the image could use a crop from each side while retaining some of the original top and bottom. I use some blur and burning on the background areas |

HI Sophia, Such an enchanting capture. You don't say but I guess it's obviously intentional camera movement but it has created some very clear vertical lines so I just had a free play with the image using some blur and cloning tool to mush it up more. |

HI Oliver Love this and good on you for getting the shot (I am assuming you had little time to react). Like the warming tone you added which suggests dawn light and a new day. Also flipping the image: but I would crop off a chunk of the wake so the negative space on the RHS exceeds the wake on the LHS. |

Wow Jim great capture and a good result at 1200mm You must have been in the neighbouring county! Topaz is doing a good job. I have dropped Sharpen AI in favour of Photo AI and use either that or Denoise. I think Photo AI does a better job on sharpening. Respect your need to follow the rules of nature which leaves few options. That pair have not considered photographers in choosing such a messy environment for nesting. Storks are amenable. |

HI David (Deliberately not reading the other comments since I am about last with this). She is an enigma. Curiously likes pink bears so not super goth? And she has dark make up on beautifully clear skin. That seems goth like. I think that is her deliberate look so not sure that I would have lightened the black makeup and added a freckled texture to her pale skin. I would be happy with the stark contrast. Like the background treatment and agree with your comment you could go darker on it |

HI Barbara, I can't help with the ID but for sure its a beautifully colored bird that you have caught in strikingly clear detail. Since you drew our attention to the added catchlight I felt that its roundness was a bit unnatural so would suggest something more diffuse and irregular, like its catching a patch of shiny water. |

Hi Jim. This is the end of the ex-tropical season but that only affects the North of the country. In the South, normal weather comes from the West and the Southern Alps catch the weather and it's rain/snow. In this case there was spill over the Alps creating these conditions. Behind us was a blue sky with scattered clouds. |
