Hi Jim. The textures are fantastic and suggests the are numerous angles on this thing. I love club outings since amongst all the benefits you get to see what interpretations other members produce. I don't think there is a single right answer. I like to drill in a bit but that's just me |

Hi Jim
This is a bit of a challenge for me. Are there really two images here? You could crop out the bulkhead and get something interesting. But the intention is around the impressive bulkhead so the only thought I had is less is more. Hence this extreme crop. I went for more atmosphere. I think this kind of environment would suit a smoke generator |

Thanks Oliver. I used quite a bit of blue in the far hills to create a greater sense of depth. I think between both treatments there is a better image. Something for me to play with. Appreciate your thoughts. |

Hi Richard Great image. Love the complementary yellows and blues. Maybe I would desat a bit of the yellows...they are as bright as they can be. Also the crop: Its a very skinny portrait mode and I would play with more background on the right. |

Wow Sophia what stunning light and amazing capture. Congratulations. I think I would want to tone down the highlights in the ripples its feet are making. Wonder what you can do in Lightroom selecting just that area. Or maybe clone it but then the difficulty is to retain the ripples without the highlights. I had a go and my approach might work but the image is so small its hard to edit. What I did was make a copy of the base layer, convert to black and white then into a highpass filter with softlight blend mode. Then I cloned out the reflections in the original and with the filter on the top layer adjusted the opacity of both down a little to let some of the original through |

Hi Oliver what a great image and privilege to be part of this event. Great memories and something I imagine she would treasure. I thought the highlights on her face were a bit harsh so toned them down and cloned out the one on her nose. Plus cloned out the lights on the left. |

Hi David Inspired idea to crop it down. The original is fine but I think the crop gives us a more powerful image. The B and W treatment gives us a more intense image and lets us focus on the textures rather than the super saturated colors. |

Hi Barbara Its a beautiful tribute to a wonderful young woman. The only thing that detracted for me was the bright highlight on her nose and I would tone it down by cloning. Like the catchlight in her nearer eye and something like that for the other one would add a touch, perhaps. |
