Thanks Oliver. I often get caught like this. I have brightened if from the original but fresh eyes say but not enough. Good comment |

Hi Jim, yes but the darkening increases the saturation too so I would wind that back. Cheers |

Beautiful image Richard. My only though was a potential crop of something from the left hand side and the bottom to increase the focus on the temple and reduce the expanse of water where there are no reflections |

Great image Sophie. Interesting that your view of the Milky Way is vertical in the early evening whereas here its setting as it gets dark so we see it as an arc. Our Season is now over until Feb next year when we will get it back in the vertical orientation |

Think all I can do now is offer a round of applause! Love minimalist images and its creative of you to include something from nature rather than the more usual light house etc. Love the colours in the revised edition: I think they work well because they are muted and on opposite sides of the color wheel |

Thanks Jim. Yes I did get the new 24-70 which is an upgrade from the F4 that I previously had. My rationale for the f4 was my use would be landscapes and I would be more likely at f11 so why have the f2.8 option. But in capturing intimate landscapes, I do like to have the background as soft as possible. Love this lens...mainly the reduced weight ! And yes, using the A7Riv |

Hi Jim Nicely caught in the moment. Love the action. Personally While I wouldn't clone out the background I would like it to compete less with the subject. I get this issue with rodeo and typically desaturate the background distractions and add some blur if I wasn't brave enough to shoot wide open |

Hi David. Like your image and its treatment. She is a very benign Goth so we don't need her looking scary. Like the removal of the string of lights in the background that immediately caught my eye and fixing up the wardrobe malfunction. Like her brighter pupils but think the Goth element has been diminished by not leaving the makeup under her eyes a little darker. I just read Jim's comments and agree...I had not noticed the skulls !! |

Hi Barbara Love still life concepts because it adds such a strong additional element of creativity. And because these things never work out well for me!! I like the overall treatment. Only thought is the pin cushion looks very digital so wondered about the potential to use an additional texture over the entire image |
