Hi Catherine, I like this owl and the image impressed me very much for I don't even have such big a bird to shoot. The W/B image looks like a picture in an old textbook. The owl looks very vigorous and clear. Nice shot! |

Hi Jamie, it is an interesting image with lovely settings. I do agree with you there might be some concerns about the mountains but I also agree with Don that there is very little to do with it. I played with the color a little bit just to see if there could be any difference, but I think your original image is good enough. |

Hi Don, nice place and nice shot. There are multiple layers (5 or 6?) in the image. Especially for the cloud in the background sky, it makes the image more beautiful. And cropping out the branches is very helpful. And I agree with Andrew that it might be better to make it brighter. I like your updated version |

Hi Henry, nice capturing and cropping. It looks like you were close to the scene or like a screenshot of a live TV. I noticed your settings that your shutter speed maybe low given you were shooting a moving target with a cannon, more importantly, the camera was held by hand. In 1/125 second, the boy could have run out 7cm (if his speed was 500m/minute at that moment, which is 1.8 times slower than the world record). The small distance could blur the target a little bit. The only solution I could think about is using high ISO, like 3200 or even 6400, then it would allow a smaller aperture, faster shutter speed, and longer focal length. |

Hi Julie, nice image and I like the sepia tone which has more emotion than the original one. Well done |

Hi Andrew, it looks good as a story-telling image. White is well balanced and the foreground face is appealing. People in the background were mostly cropped out half of their heads, that's a little bit concerning. So, maybe you are right, a more tighter cropping would feel better. |

Thank you Catherine for your comments! The pole was caused by the sun at top-left corner, and I don't know if it could be a unique character of the wide angle lens. To me it was interesting. |

Thank you Don. I like your "panorama" version in which the pier is extending into the sky. The focal length is 12mm, and the image is the original version without editing. |

Thank you Andrew for your comments. Your editing result actually surprised me. It looks really good if there wasn't the post. |
