Thank you Andrew. Your comments are very helpful. And I like your revision very much! Actually I felt something wrong but couldn't tell it was the color. Now I can figure out how it became purple: The moon was shot before the fountain. In the fountain picture the sky was in deep blue and then covered on the moon. In another picture (the attached one) where the moon was shot after the fountain, the moon is white. And YES I used Auto WB in the camera just like you said. I feel more interesting now by noticing there is one more thing I could play with on the camera.
However, I'm surprised that you can re-balance it by adding a lot of green and the revised image looks much better even though with the bright spots remained. Learned a lot, and thank you for your encouragement. |

Beautiful image of galaxy! I also played with the galaxy a few times but it is hard to have a wonderful sky and a beautiful landscape in the same image since they might be contradicting with each other. The landscape requires long exposure in the night while the sky can not tolerate such a long exposure, otherwise the stars would became short lines because they are constantly moving. |

Hi Don, as an amateur photographer I feel your question is very hard to answer. I like the monochrome one simply because it has greater contrast and clearer lines, contours and shapes. And I don't mind the dark areas, because the subject is already very constrained I may not expect too much details there. |

It's an interesting image that I'd like to know more about what they are doing and what's the meaning of their behavior. Maybe by cropping horizontally the image could tell more story

The image is really sharp and I like the blue eyes most which look to be in good spirit. I tried to play with birds in the zoo but couldn't get such good looking eyes. |

Wonderful shot with so much details. I like the composition and the color of this image. The reflection of the bird in the water, the color of its beak, and the small fish in its mouth. Everything looks great! |

Thank you Julie for your comments. Maybe, by removing the highlights the image could be more like a serenity place, plus that full moon. |
