Very nice picture in color and composition, an old building on the left and a tree might at a similar age on the right, and the leading footpath and the house behind the gate. That house has a similar shape as the gate that I just started to imagine there might be another house can be seen through that house... May I ask is this the same abbey as the "ruined abbey on the Dorset/Somerset border" where those two pots was photographed? |

Wonderful scenery picture. I love the color and composition and almost everything in this picture, including the grasses in the foreground, I also like to keep things as they are in the picture. If you did not say you were shooting at the castle, I actually love the snow mountain more and would take the castle as an ornament of the landscape which is not only magnificent but also peaceful and lovely. The only thing that disturbing me is the trunk on the left which is blocking considerable portion of view. Anyway, when I looked two more times at the picture, I got used to the trunk and stay focused on the rest of the view. Very nice picture |

Very nice place to visit and still very similar with my hometown.
Since you are asking for suggestion, I'd like to crop out the right side to make it looks like a new place. Because the right side looks like the previous one and its lines are perpendicular with the left side, and thus might making readers hard to focus. But if only focus on the left side, it's somewhat gloomy instead of as peaceful as the right side. But I like the reflection of the trees and sky in the water.
Hope you would not hate the left side |

It's a sudden style change and needs a few adaption for readers like me to appreciate :-)
Because at the first glance I didn't recognize it is a picture taken by camera. I thought it was an artwork like pencil sketch. And I'm curious about the background, the texture of the wall is very rare to see in nowadays life. And compared with that, the foreground seems not consistent because the pots look shining and new without the similar signs of frayed as the wall. Otherwise, it would be a very good picture that giving a large imagination space from a small angle of daily life. And maybe too small to see the details. Overall, it's a peaceful picture to read with good control of lights and shapes. |

Wonderful picture of trees on the prairies. Are they Adansonia Digitata? I never saw in reality but many times in movies. From the diameter of the tree it seems having hundreds years of age. |

Very interesting image delivering too much information to consume. I agree with Paul that the cropped out street may actually contributes a lot. Because from the point of view of information density, the street serves as blank spaces in a picture to lead readers eyes concentrate on the point of interest. Beside that, I love this picture very much that I can't stop thinking why the customers love going to the restaurant with grass on the roof? It seems not adding any value for the customers inside the restaurant but increasing potential risks of wild fire on those grasses :-P |

Thank you for your comment. I feel lucky that I was there for a moment. That tree on the left may be a Christmas Tree. And I just noticed the dashes you mentioned when reading your comments. You are so careful when reading the picture. Thanks. |
