33 Aug 21 Reply You are right, there should be something. Actually in a picture shot prior to this one, there stood my wife, with the same settings. Your version looks more vivid which brings better mood, thank you for your comments and the adjustment. Aug 21st
33 Aug 21 Reply Wonderful choice! The horizon separated the original picture, and you cut the lifeless half off. Aug 21st
33 Aug 21 Reply Thank you for your comments. I was not intended to capture those yurts, they were accidentally embraced in the picture but happened to be very interesting. I'm glad that you also appreciate the background. Maybe, I should say in the introduction explicitly that it was the background and the brook together, which depicted my mood in those days. Anyway, I also regret for didn't go closer to those yurts. Aug 21st
33 Aug 21 Reply Thank you for your comments. The place is much more beautiful than it is in the picture. Can't be depicted with a single shot. Aug 21st
33 Aug 21 Comment Fairy-tale scenery, zigzag brook, untouched moss, everything seems too beautiful to be real. From the water we can tell that the shutter was very slow and it was a long exposure, the light was very dim and environment should be nearly dark. You must took a lot of effort to get there and setup your camera with tripod. The details of the orange sands on the ground are not very clear at this resolution, it must be more beautiful in your original photo. Aug 11th
33 Aug 21 Comment A tall tree accompany a tiny house, if they have soul, like a husband and a wife, sitting side by side at the foot of a beautiful snow mountain, enjoying a wonderful sunset together, and just them two without any others. What's more, they have together enjoyed thousands of wonderful sunsets like this without any disturbance, and maybe will continue forever......
What a romantic view. Great job!

33 Aug 21 Comment What A wonderful bay with 270 degrees of sea view, and it seems very busy with a lot of boats around the corner.
It must be a very difficult trade-off between the far away horizon and the nearby beach. I guess the view of horizon would be empty of focus, while the nearby beach have much more activities and details. If it was I standing at your position, I might had chosen the other version, but I can't express anything by shooting the empty far away horizon. Thank you for enlightening me that the scene could be such lively from distance and high above. It was a good choice. Very beautiful picture.

33 Aug 21 Comment By cropping out the sky, you amplified the depressing feeling comes out from the wrecked site. Whether the sky was blue or gray, it doesn't matter. Maybe, I just imagine from the picture, that you even don't want to care about the sky. Because the most urgent and serious problem is how could people fix the problem in front of us...... I felt very sad while looking at this picture, and the feeling became much stronger considering the bad things you mentioned in your email. How much I wished there could be a small but sturdy grass in some corner of this picture...... Aug 11th
33 Aug 21 Comment I like the cloudy sky and the upright light house, and the impact of the contradiction of these two. It looks like saying although the situation is quite depressing, but hope still exist, like the light house is standing straight and strong against the pressing sky. I don't know if it is possible to erase the huge stone at the right side of the light house. But it's already a great picture so far. Aug 11th
33 Aug 21 Comment That's really a very interesting story behind this picture. It reminds me the building is related with a lot of stories, known or not known to public. Then a feeling of vicissitudes suddenly bursted in my mind. And it became stronger when looking closer at the old walls. Also, you mentioned the picture was taken while sunset. That was a perfect moment with that feeling. So, I made a new version, adjusted the color to emphasize the history feeling, and "repaired" the sky by eliminating that straight wire in air. Don't know if the modified version could give you that kind of "history feeling" Aug 11th
33 Aug 21 Reply YES, you are very sharpe. Like a lot of this kind of scenic pictures in my disk, I really can't accurately describe what feeling exactly in my mind. But every time if there is some water, I'd always use large aperture to focus on the flowing water and blurring everything else, to make some sense of "none sense". So, actually the water should be the POI. But this time I thought it would be a waste not showing its background, and if without the background the water would be too much mediocre. And yes, it's some kind of paradox to decorate the sense of "none sense", and maybe that's why I can't describe it accurately. Thank you for your very rational comments. It's a lovely conversation with you that make me understanding myself better. Aug 11th
