Bright and cheerful!! Don't know if the "flare" was needed because the flowers are lovely on the blue background. I think the flare could be toned down a bit but a nice photo never the less! |

You definitely made some improvements bu your processing. Removing the car and cropping were a good idea. I'm troubled by the piece of a passenger in the carriage. Too bad there is something blocking the guy's face. The roan has a very light orange-ish area that seems off to my eye as well. Your original makes me think that horse was actually more brown. Hope this has some nice memories for you. |

Great colors and the diagonal shot makes this a great shot. The only thing that might improv this would be an increase in contrast just a tiny bit to bring out some of those lovely clouds in the sky. To my eye, they are little too washed out but that isn't a game breaker. Nice job! |

Agree with Bill, this would make a wonderful Christmas card. It's very cute and overall a well balanced photo! |

Iit is psychedelic! I think it is an interesting effect. Not my taste but it does remind me of old psychedelic posters and album covers of my youth. It is a cool rendition of a ring bill gull! |

It is a lovely flower but I don't touch unknown frogs..... some can be very harmful even in FL. |

Dave said he used a filter in Topaz so I suspect he did the work in Topaz (such as background removal and or changes). Topaz Studio has the ability to let you modify your photos to your heart's content. The unfortunate piece is the software is no longer supported by Topaz Labs. |

The "object" is a frog. It is not uncommon to see various bugs and/or reptilians tucked into flowers. This guy apparently has made this his home as he is still there. |

I do wish I had taken more photos with the IR but I didn't. And since it was two different set ups completely, I know it was not a well controlled experiment BUT it is fun to play around with the cameras. I can say beyond a doubt that the eyes and teeth are very different in the IR shots. Did read an interesting article that said a tiger's prey can not see in the "red channel" and this makes a tiger green and it disappears easily into its surrounds. Then the prey is easy pickings...... I need to try to replicate what this would be like for an unsuspecting critter... |

Thanks, that one was a color shot that I converted to B&W just to see if there was much of a difference. The teeth and eyes seem to render differently and I think IR helps with capturing details a bit better but since this wasn't a truly control experiment I can't say for certain. |

An impressive place, your building detail is amazing!! As for a suggestion to "fix" the clouds, I think you could use your Select Subject in PS, the invert the selection to get the sky and put in a sky (B&W) of your liking. Select sky would probably work but I tend to select subjects for any background replacement. To my eye, there is still a bit of tilt but this could be because it is a really big building. Would love to see some closer shots to show more of the details!! |

Great lines in this and I do like the addition of the clouds! Beautiful scene but I do think it could be brighten just a tad. Have the same question as Stuart, what caused the side walk to go white?? Could it have been wet and the sun's reflection or was there something growing on it or was this wood which can look different in IR? Inquiring minds........... |

I like it, I really do. I will say that your creativity is always inspiring. One thing that might add would be to do a little dodging of the "white caps" of the waves in the painterly piece in some ares to give them a bit more of a pop. I think it is very cool! |

Cool building, I can see why you photographed it!!! For me, the viewers' left could be lightened a bit more so we could see a little more detail in the tree and that side of the building. It appears to me that there is detail when I look at the original. This might have been a good candidate for HDR to get some additional details from maybe inside (I never think of doing HDR until well after the fact so I'm a fine one to suggest it, lol). I do like so good job! |

I like both versions of your photo, colors work well in both. Will say I wish there was more separation between the tree of interest and the rest of the scene. Maybe some selective vignetting??? I often use control points in either Nik Silver Efex or Viveza to create some separation. Think you could lose the chunk of branches on viewer's right as they don't add to the photo..... Never heard of that type of tree so that's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing! |

The white area that halos his face is actually foliage. I think he is in his own enclosure right now because he is "new" to the zoo. I do know he is a Malayan and 7 yrs old. On the other side of the exhibit there is a Sumatran female. I'm going to try more involving animals just to see what happens. |
