If you come back to FL between late March and the end of June, the rookery at the St Augustine Alligator Farm is one of the best you will find. It's a natural rookery! The farm does its best to keep the area healthy for the birds. This year hasn't been the best because of numerous issues but it is still better than most places hands down. |

Don't worry, it's a unique plant! I like that path that heads towards the mountains (just noticed it). Some times an object triggers more of a memory than a scenic view might. If you like it, that's all that is really important. |

Lovely shot! Colors are great, you know how much I like birds and even though there are many birds I can make out the distinct form of a sandhill. I didn't know the were in Kansas so I learned something new, good job! |

Well, that mountain is quite impressive. I never seen "big mountains" so it's hard for me to really know what I'm seeing in the middle area of the photo. I find that the colors and brightness draw my eye from the mountain down to the yellow and magenta areas. Honestly, if it was mine, I think I might crop a good bit of the bottom off and tone down the yellows and magentas and let the mountain be the star. |

When I first saw this, I thought the building was actually part of the original scene until I saw the exclamation points in the sky, lol!! You might consider cloning those rocks but they don't bother. This is a fun and bright photo, nice job! |

I like it, I like how the internal parts seem to lit by the glow of the petals. I like the angle of the flower. If I was going to change anything , it might be the leaves. The one on viewer's left appears to float. Maybe bring it closer or clone it out. To my eye, there may be a leaf back by the stem, I would clone it out. Overall, I think it's a nice artistic photo! |

I think because the photo was a small size, it might have softened it when going to the website. It can be very picky about sizes....... |

Thanks, those Audubon people can be a bit picky. I send them all photos of tagged birds I take plus I try to find the research group associated with the tags. |

I like the flowering bush but I think I might like it more if you had brought us closer to the flower. I've never seen one of these and think it's overall it's a cool looking plant. I'm guessing it's a type of cactus. I also like you sky over the enhanced version that Bill did. I do hope you stay but can understand if you don't. |

The blue is pretty intense because this is the sky in late afternoon. If the photo isn't under the rookery contest rules, I can easily desaturate the blue and will do that on my artistic looks. I should just process to make myself happy rather than following contest rules....... |

Thanks, when I photograph birds at this particular rookery, I seldom remove the "natural" stuff or add much other than a vignette because they run a photo contest and don't allow you to do anything like that. I do like your changes so in future may have to have two versions! |

Stevie Ray loves his head scratched but not so close to his ears. He's a very short and small cat so shooting down helps me not to get stuck on the ground. I tried a conventional B&W and for me, this makes him look a little lighter and more of a sheen to his fur. I love dogs, too but for my life style, he's a pretty easy fellow to take care of and is good company. |

I don't know what he is, he has long hair and short legs and a tiny little voice. He's a cutie whatever he is. Like I said, I love these drop ins and I have bought another for the IR and consider adding some for my regular camera. Kolari Vision makes them. |

I like this! Looking at the original, I can see some differences but overall I like your changes. It could be my eyes but the bricks seem to be a bit wonky like there is a curvature they were laid over. Maybe due to the angle you shot from bit like I said, I like it!!! Good job!

Nice job!! The details of the rock just draws me to it and I love the sky. I think I might crop a bit of the bottom so there isn't so much white foliage. To me, it would compete less with the bright clouds but I don't think they overwhelm as I go right straight to the rock. |

You did some nice cleaning up and it looks great! At the viewer's bottom right there is an area that is in focus enough that I become curious about rather than staying with the goose so I would consider cloning it out. I like the B&W and birds are one of my favorite subjects so now I will need to try to do some IR shots. Thanks for the inspiration! |
