Great shot of a purple gallinule. I like that it is walking across the lily pads. Sort of wish there was more of a foreground because it looks like this bird is going to step right out of the frame. But I still think it's a great capture. |

I, too, would like to see a larger version but from what I can see, I think if you had the slide included it would be a little more interesting. Hard to say, honestly but I think you did a good job focusing on the trombone player with out distractions from his surroundings. |

I think your photo was under 1200 pixels and I didn't have software on the computer to enlarge because I was upgrading to a new computer. |

Good job on the correction, it's not always the easiest of task. Wish you had either a higher view to minimize the trees or shot this from a different viewpoint. I like the colors here but really would like to see more of the church. |

I like the concept here but for me the photo is too dark. Not sure your phone's capabilities but I wonder if a bit of flash and stepping in closer would have brought the gate out more. You could use PS to open up the dark areas but it might just just wash out too much. if you have the opportunity to photograph this again, Would say try to use a flash or use a camera that has a flash attachment. It is one interesting gate! |

Dave, I'm using an iPhone 13 Pro with an app that can yield 45M. With the various apps available, you can get some nice photos. I actually was in a B&W competition and was awarded for a cellphone phone where most of the processing was done with Snapseed. Cellphones have come a long way!!! |

Nicely done! Yes, there's some haloing and it makes me wonder if you used a sky replacement? I do think little more contrast (richer blacks) would help a bit but overall, I think it's a nice photo!! |

Thanks. I'm never sure about strokes. Seems some folks like them, some folks don't. I think since this is displayed again a black website that it would work nicely. Thanks again! |

I really like your revised version so much! I am drawn right to those windows. Look like a great place to photograph all sorts of things. Well done! |

That horse wan't interested in you. Do wish he has looked at you. I'm torn as to how to bring more attention to the horse. I like your coloration but my eye travels away to the lighter areas. Might be interesting to use select subject and brighten the subject then duplicate the layer, inverse the mask then darker the background down a bit. I do like the backlight on him! |

I like it very much and bet it is beautiful in the spring when all those rhododendrons are blooming. Thanks for your details on double processing in Nik. I have done on rare occasion but I do like how you got such great detail. Well done!!! |

I like the brightness of the steeple and cross but think your photo may benefit from the building have a bit lighter surface. Don't know if you have Nik Silver Efex but this would be a great way to process this for absolute control. |

There is a vignette applied but I do think that balancing the darkness might really help. Definitely will give it a whirl so thanks!! |
