The lens is very unique. I "thought" that f/11 would give a great depth of field BUT it only allows for a small slice to be really in focus. It is great to be able to hand hold but these birds are barely visible at 800mm and you can't really tell where you are focusing. I'm using focus peaking to help but it is really tricky. It's fun to play with but you better like a lot of blur because it's part of the deal. |

It is so green and lush. I think the rocks colors get a greenish tone to them and to my eye it dulls them. I wish there was as much tonality range in them as you have in the foliage. I might get rid of the diagonal branch in the viewer's upper left corner. To my eye, it is a distraction. I do think this could be rendered out very artistically with some great results. |

Well done! Your clean up and rebuild is excellent. I have no idea what "tent pegging" is but I find what you captured to be very interesting. Thanks for sharing your technique! |

A very unique staircase! I think it is great for a symphony home. I look at this and see sheet music with all its lines. I wish the sky had been better for you but a cool photo never the less! |

Harry is one handsome fellow and you have a lovely portrait. I love it! Thanks for rescuing him. My boy was born feral and I got him when he was tiny. He doesn't model but I'm glad your guy does. Well done!! |

You are the king of triptychs. The makes for an interesting presentation but I think the contrails are dominating rather than the planes. The middle photo seems to be a complete scene where the other two don't feel the same to me. Wonder if you brought the planes in closer by cropping if that would help. I know the size limits what we can see but I really had to zoom in to understand the "Red Arrows" reference. |

The image you reworked is very painterly and artistic. Having never been in an area like this, I like the photo version as well. There is one black rock (viewer's lower left towards the bottom) that I would remove as I don't think it adds in either version. On your artistic version I might suggest adding some other color to the sky. It makes me think of the "Northern Lights". I applaud your experimentation! |

I used both of those on this image as well but didn't want to push the sharpening too far. The chick just has a little fuzz at this stage. Topaz makes some great plug-ins! |

I think I could open the shadows but if memory serves there were people in the chicken coop flitzing about and I didn't want them but wanted to keep a bit of the coop. I will give the mono a try with opening up the shadows.

Sorry to read you are having problems with profiles. Have read that some issues were sorted out with the last PS update. Hope your issue have been resolved. I'm on a Mac so I had a momentary blip but have taken to writing my own profiles which strangely seemed to help the ones that were hiding on my computer. Like Sharon, I like the blues and greens but the cyan is a little too much. When I looked at the black dots, I thought "Oh, vultures" as that is what I'm use to seeing congregate around ponds here. Reading Sharon's statement really made me look at them again. Overall, it's a lovely scene!

This is so pretty! Well done on cloning out little bits and get rid of the bit in the corner and this will be perfection! Looks like a pleasant place to spend time! |

I love it!! The center truly is a wonderful point of interest support by the petals and dew drops (or rain). I like how you chose to crop in to keep the attention on the center of the flower. I do not see any selective color but love this just the same. Well done! |

Lovely barn!! I definitely want to walk down the path and go up into the hills to see whatever the world has to offer. I really like your bit of clean-up on the trees. I think the mist is something I can almost feel in the photo. Personally, I think there is a beautiful mood to this and I love it!! |

Nice scene, like the barn but those trees are the star of the show for me. Agree with Sharon that the foreground is too bright and I don't think it really adds to the photo.
Overall, I do like the scene! |

Nice work!! If I had to chose, I would pick the mono. I love how the boardwalk renders in mono yet I still see the whimsical patterns in the leaves. Your processing on the color gave me a bit of a chuckle as I sometimes go through many software pieces before I stop and even then my mind is still looking at yet another possibility. Both are very nice and I think you should be pick the both, lol!! |
