There was a song: "Everybody was kung fu fighting" and this bird looks like he was performing to it, lol! Perfect freeze of those big feet and a little blur on the wing shows motion beautifully. Might clean up the bottom pieces of lily pads but great photo! |

Very nice scene! The windmill behind the rusty truck is just the perfect touch. I'm debating with myself on cropping. The rolling hill (viewer's right) tells me that this is the Palouse but I wish it balanced with the space to the front of the truck. Lovely sky, peaceful scene!!! |

Belong to several camera clubs and a recent competition had one photo that was a photo of a blown up ad (photo) in a store. It placed second, the first place photo was of a model being photographed for an ad by a professional photographer. The judge IS a PROFESSOR of photography and has a degree in Art. Another competition, award "Best in Show" to a photographer who uses the same camera phone app on every photo she has submitted and she has won several awards. Finally, one club went to an art museum photographed the paintings and several were submitted for competition. I've been told I shouldn't compete because I do composites and "That's Not Photography!" |

Different! Curious if you add a blur to the water or was it a result of the 15 sec exposure? There is a harshness to the foreground that doesn't quite balance to the rest of the scene for me. The water and sky are so ethereal but the foreground is rocky, sharp and lacking the beauty of the rest of the scene. BUT maybe you were going for those contrasts?? Certainly thought provoking! |

I will go back and play with some of the saturations as I tend to use this photo for various experiments. |

You made it look easy and I agree with cloning out the two lines. AND here is one time that adding a stroke to a photo worked! |

I like your black and white treatment! The undulating hills do make me think of Palouse and the barn is classic Americana. The photo almost is a perfect rule of thirds horizontally so I would crop a bit from the bottom to make it. Nicely done! |

Such a sweet photo. I like the 'high key' look but think I would crop in to keep the focus on the children. I think the foliage provided a nice framing in your original photo but the blur makes it look too much on the abstract side to me. |

You have created a magical scene! When I first saw I thought of the aurora borealis meets fairy lights. I could see this being used as a book cover! Thank you for the inspiration to play around differently with IR. |

Graveyards are such interesting places to photograph and this one comes with a great view. Agree about cropping or cloning out the last gravestone. Nice job on processing |

I haven't seen many IR photos with this color combination that I like but think this works! I really like how the building reflects orange in the windows and reverses in the reflection. Julie may have hit on CLiR creating the noise. Have had that happen a time or two. There are some great programs that will remove it for you and agree with Sharon (and Mark) that it works well after leaving raw. |

Interesting subject matter! It seems to me a departure from your usual IR HDRs. There are some nice elements but I'm struggling to decide on the subject, is it the door, the tree or the steps. In my mind, they all but the walls of the building seem to pull me away. Perhaps, vignetting to lead to the area? I do think this might be a good photo to add some textural effect.
I remember going to visit relatives who had house with similar "steps" which were quite daunting as a child. Now I wouldn't even try to climb those for fear of falling. |

The current water lilies are a bit south from where I am but you always welcomed. If you love water lines, try Gibbs Gardens (Ga) when they have their Monet festival. They have three small ponds, then Apr- Jun we will have some lovely blooms at McKee in Vero. The tropicals will bloom throughout the year. Hear that Bok gardens has a few, too. I can give you a list of Fl gardens, lol!!!! |

I was happy the branches weren't full of leaves, lol. Know you make a valid point but I'm too lazy to clean up all those twigs. The tree was actually being used as part of the support for the boat. It was a very unique scene.

Honestly, there was no way to avoid the branches because the background was woods. If I could have crossed the creek (also impossible) I might have been able to get a better angle. Fortunately, this has done well in competition. |
