9 Dec 19 Comment Interesting looking lighthouse and your sky is great! I think you did a great job with the details but do agree with Priscilla as it does appear the lighthouse has a wee tilt to it. Overall, beautiful photo! Dec 16th
9 Dec 19 Comment Lovely processing. You always do a great job! Dec 16th
9 Dec 19 Comment Some people really like adding a stroke. To me, I really haven't seen many instances where a stroke adds any thing to a photo. For your photo, I "think" I can detect it. Hard to say! Your clown has a very interesting look. Not sure if the clown was trying to be scary or surprised. Such is the nature of the clown, I suppose. I do like how your processing focuses me on the clown's expression. Very different clown, good job!

9 Dec 19 Comment Still nice and I prefer the enhanced. Dec 16th
9 Dec 19 Comment Nice photo and hope you both have a great holiday. Dec 16th
9 Dec 19 Comment The last time I got "Your photo looks soft" in a competition found out the judge was having cataract surgery the next day. Nothing wrong with your image! You can see the expression on the batter's and catcher's faces clearly, they are both very intense. Think your tonal range is good and the detail is solid. Phoey to the judges and you have a great image. Dec 16th

35 Dec 19 Reply I'm sad to say it is wasn't that long ago as I remember growing up in a very segregated South. Do think your fear is just but hope that the haunting will help us to prevent the ugliness that was....... Dec 16th
35 Dec 19 Reply Thank you, if it were any other abandoned hotel, I don't think I would hesitate to remove the fence BUT I grew up in the South during segregation. It was a difficult time and I feel that it would be very disrespectful if I removed the barrier that was and is there. Maybe if I had titled it so the fence had more meaning, it would have helped. 35 Dec 19 Comment What a lovely scene, you always have such beautiful photos and this one does not disappoint in its capture. While I admire the work you went through, I think I would subdue all the colors. I think this would be stunning if it were more pastel. I think your most stunning works have used more delicate coloring and agree with Sharon, you are a master at post! Dec 16th
35 Dec 19 Comment I really like these lanterns but do agree with others about cleaning up the various distractions to make this a stronger image. To my eye, there are bits of objects on the upper right edge that are distracting as well as the sign (?) over on the left. I like the colors to both images. Very cool! Dec 16th
35 Dec 19 Comment Wow, such destruction. I think you did a great job documenting it and I think this shows how powerful the tornado was. I stare at this and can almost feel everything coming down on the house. Agree with Sharon about centering your image, it evokes such tension. Very well done. Dec 16th
35 Dec 19 Comment This is quite lovely! The sky is beautiful and contrasts nicely with the tree. I think you did very well with this image. Dec 16th
35 Dec 19 Comment Love all the texture in the dead tree. It has such beautiful lines to it. Will agree with others assessment that it would be more powerful if the plant behind it were more subdued. Dec 16th
35 Dec 19 Comment I do understand that for most of you will find the fence a distraction BUT this place was built during the era of segregation and Jim Crow laws in the Deep South. I didn't take it out because there is relevance to its existence. (Personal choice, I know). I didn't go into a deep explanation of the building's history or that of the times in the Deep South but if you were of a certain profile, you couldn't mingle with the white folks. It was not uncommon for certain establishments like this to have a barrier or some sort of means of visible separation. Dec 11th
35 Dec 19 Reply The fence is part of the attempt to enforce segregation laws of the era. For me , it tells part of the story of the times......... Dec 11th
