9 May 19 Reply In my piece of Fl that's pretty much how the sky looks, if there is an itty bitty little cloud waaaaaaay off, the weatherman will say it's partly cloudy. Some days we get nice clouds but these days are hot (over 95 today) and dry. I could fake some clouds in..... May 29th
9 May 19 Comment Your photo has good bones so think Allen is correct saying that with some tweaking you will have a great photo. Very nice, peaceful scene! May 22nd
9 May 19 Comment I do like the crop! Beautiful, vibrant colors in this photo. May 22nd
9 May 19 Comment Cool! She almost looks like she is part of the art work. I do think it might have been a stronger photo if you took a couple of steps back so that we can see fully. Overall, I do like this! May 22nd
9 May 19 Comment Nicely done. The orchids are all in focus and sharp. Looks like a painting! May 22nd
9 May 19 Reply That's his foot tucked up in his feathers. May 22nd
9 May 19 Reply The strange thing about the one legged stance (to me) is they do this to conserve body heat. This day was pretty warm, guess he is cold blooded. May 22nd
9 May 19 Comment Nice capture. Agree with adding something to the background and cleaning up the chroma. Having been to a few events where there are captive birds, know it is hard to get a clean background but you a blank slate with this so jazz it up a bit! May 22nd
9 May 19 Comment Interesting effect! Strong sense of movement and nice bold colors. Not a fan of what the palette knife effect did to whatever is between the barn and the silos and the white areas to the left of the barn. Think it lost too much detail. May 22nd

35 May 19 Reply I think we all have images like that! One part has such great appeal and pulls us into it but the rest of the environment is just there. Guess it is about finding the piece that resonates....... May 25th
35 May 19 Reply I could have applied one too many effects on the photo as there are lots of things it can do. I think as I use it more my photos will settle down. This was one of the first photos were I just went in and pressed various buttons. May 25th
35 May 19 Comment Another fairy tale scene!! I would love to see closer images of the castle. Your processing is just so lovely that it adds to the enchantment. Hope you have a few more of this castle, agree that if you had been a bit closer to the castle that this would produce a fabulous photo but even this perspective makes for a wonderful view. May 22nd
35 May 19 Comment Sorry to hear you can't get Nik to work. It works well on my Mac but had to physically move it to the correct folders within PS to get it to work. The sky is phenomenal in this photo and I do think this is a solid documentary type photo. You have wonderful contrast that balances well in this photo! May 22nd
35 May 19 Comment I love this!! I really like the way you have processed and added to this. Well done! May 22nd
35 May 19 Comment Agree with the comments about adding more contrast, lovely scene. Looking at the original, there is contrast that you could pull out in the converted image. Looks like it would be a peaceful place! May 22nd
35 May 19 Comment I love the bridge! I do think there is a little too much to take in for this to work well. If it were me, I might crop from the right to get rid of that tall tree and its reflection then from the bottom to create a more intimate scene. May 22nd
35 May 19 Reply Yes, I'm continuing to work with the CliR panel. I think I was so surprised with what it could do that I chose this photo without looking at it closely. It is too bright particularly in the center but it has spurred me to learn more about what I and the panel can do. May 22nd
35 May 19 Reply Google Blake Rudis and CLiR (that spelling). If that doesn't work let me know May 16th
35 May 19 Reply Yes, Helen, he does show you how to develop your own dng with the swaps built-in. My IR has improved a lot since this photo and I feel like I'm growing with this process. Have signed up for a workshop in the fall, featuring the software and IR. Hope that forces me to take more time to learn the software, agree with the lack of sharpness which may be due to my choice of lens but it's all a learning process.! May 16th
