Love his buggy, bright eye and you have captured this bird beautifully. My bucket list photo for a black-crowned night heron would be having him display his feathers to attract a potential mate, have seen it but really want to photograph this behavior. This fellow is considered elusive but I think he posed for you! |

This is very cool! Thanks for sharing the idea! I really like how you removed the unwanted flowers in the background. Very artsy style! |

Great stairs and steps. Very happy I don't have to climb them. Looks like this would be a great place to photograph these elements in different perspectives. Like the details, line, sense of movement this has. Good job! |

He looks sad to me but maybe he is just content and snuggled up in towel. Thank you for saving him. The B&W is a wonderful choice to create mood and this photo certainly evokes it. Great job on the photo and fabulous job for saving Mr. T. |

Love waterlilies! I think I would do some blending to bring out the center and bring out the detail of the petals. Great subject and I could see a whole series devoted to the many moods of a single flower! |

I can see a slight change to the boy on the right, not so on the left. If you were using a shallow depth of field and your focal point ended up on something other than than boys, guess this could happen. I find myself liking AI Clear over sharpen. Cute boys!! |

The feathers were original but I see what you getting at. There is a specular highlight in the water. I like David's idea of changing the muddy water out with a better background. Might redo it at some point. |

Lol, I didn't clean his back up, he did it. I think what you're referring is where he had been fluffing the feathers on the back. Have to wonder when he sprouts those real whispy golden feathers if his back itches (could be mites). That's part of his breeding plumage. His eye should be a vivid ruby red. I thought about lightening it but don't want to lose the color. As far as the background, there really isn't much detail and it isn't as bright as he's coloration. I will give a thought to burning a few spots to mute it a bit more. Can always count on you for great comments! Thanks!! |

OMG!! Those trees are just marvelous. I want pink trees in my yard. The sheep are so cute. Overall very idyllic. I might play with a bit with a crop. I think a very soft vignette would draw the eye in to the tree and sheep. It is a beautiful image! |

Love the top two thirds of this and think you could call it Stairway To Heaven. Agree with Helen's suggested crop. Overall , this is just beautiful! |

Very unique group shot! Your conversion to BW is perfect. Sometimes keeping it simple works the best. I do like that you shot at an angle rather than straight on, makes for a more interesting view. |

What a lovely scene! For me, this is a very tricky scene. The brightness of the background immediately pulls my eye to it but I really want to explore the church. You might be able to open up the church by masking and working with the shadow. Great experiment and hope you continue with it because this is a beautiful subject |

Playing around is one of the best parts of photography!! I really like the details you have brought to light. The clouds are "unique". I think I would like it a bit more if the tree wasn't so close to center. Sometimes Topaz does work on every image but it can offer different rendering, bottom line if it was fun, you found what works and doesn't work for you. |

Beautiful scene and love the sky. Your clean-up of the power lines is great. I do think there is a bit of a tilt to the building. The only other thing I can suggest would be even out the tones in the top of the steeple. Even though I can see the lighter areas in the originals, it doesn't look 'natural' to me. You might be able to get you beam of light effect in Topaz Textures using a modified texture (I would try different blend modes and definitely edit the texture). The other trick would be using an adjustment brush in either ACR or LR to paint in the light effect you want. If I stumble on any other methods, will let you know! |

Thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of removing, think I was too busy pushing sliders to see what would happen. Definitely will get rid of it. |
